It was originally reported by Gawker that Britney's mom has a deal with a Christian imprint to spill the beans about her famous daughter's life -- People.com picked up the story on Friday and we here at X17 said, "Whoa! Could this be true?!"
So we went to the source, as we're wont to do, and asked Momma Spears herself on camera and she gave us a big, fat denial!
We later got further clarification and found out Brit's mom DOES have a deal with Publisher's Marketplace to pen a book based on her spiritual journals which will have NOTHING to do with telling readers anything about her Britney's private life. Whew!
By all accounts, Brit and her mom's reconciliation is still going strong and the two continue to patch things up -- keep it going, guys!
