Madonna seems to have drama following her wherever she goes, and this is just the latest scandal for the 50-year-old superstar.

The material girl kicked off her Sticky & Sweet Tour in the U.K. on Saturday night, and tongues were wagging after her performance of "Get Stupid." According to MTV, she compared Republican presidential hopeful John McCain to Adolf Hitler in a video montage during the song, and then showed clips of Democratic nominee Barack Obama alongside pictures of John Lennon, Mahatma Ghandi and Al Gore. Though it's pretty clear that Madonna is an Obama supporter, a lot of people probably weren't expecting her to take that kind of stance on McCain!

McCain spokesperson Tucker Bounds released the following statement:

"The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time. It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."

Maybe she should have gone the Paris Hilton route?

The Material Girl kicked off her Sticky & Sweet world tour in Cardiff, Wales this weekend - and from the looks of it, Madonna's (who just turned 50!) still got it!

And what about our girl Brit's contribution? In her video segment, Britney is stuck in an elevator, repeating the phrase "express yourself, don't repress yourself" while wearing a black hoodie that she eventually rips off...

Hott with two t's!

Madonna fans definitely won't want to miss the Material Girl's upcoming tour - she's planning to cram four shows into one!

The Sun reports that the two-hour stage show for the singer's Sticky & Sweet tour - set to kick off tomorrow in Cardiff - will be split into four sections: Pimp (a 1920s homage to art deco), Old School (a throwback to Madge's Eighties disco roots), Gypsy (a tribute to the spirit of Romanian folk music), and Rave (a suite dominated by Far Eastern influences). Expect all four segments to be astounding productions, too - Maddie's packing both an entourage of 250 people and a wardrobe of 3,500 pieces worth a cool $2 million!

Wow - her LA date can't get here soon enough!

We'd just like to give Madonna an early birthday shoutout - the Material Girl turns 50 tomorrow! Can you believe it? She's a Borderline senior citizen now!

We all loved Britney Spears' video for "Piece of Me" - but MTV loved it so much that they've put it up for Video of the Year!

Earlier today, MTV released their full list of nominees for Video of the Year - with Britney's name right at the top! Of course, our girl Brit isn't looking at a cakewalk - MTV pitted the pop princess against the Jonas Brothers (for "Burnin' Up"), Chris Brown ("Forever"), the Pussycat Dolls ("When I Grow Up"), and newcomers the Ting Tings ("Shut Up and Let Me Go")!

Wow, MTV's really pulling out the stops, huh? That's an even more formidable list of candidates than the one they came up with for best female video!

MTV also announced the nominees for best rock video, revealing that the award would be up for grabs between Paramore, Slipknot, Linkin Park, the Foo Fighters, and Fall Out Boy. Personally, we're pulling for Pete - wouldn't it be great to see him pick up a moon man and welcome a daughter all in the same year?

Either way, we're super pumped for September 7th now - we've got a feeling that Britney's going to be leaving Paramount Studios with a big ol' smile on her face!

It seems like everyone in Hollywood wants (and tries) to be a singer... but that doesn't mean they're actually good at it!

French fashion house Givenchy will dress Madonna for her upcoming Sticky and Sweet world tour, according to the Associated Press.

Givenchy spokeswoman Caroline Deroche-Pasquier says Givenchy Couture has made the legendary pop star two ensembles, one of which will be worn during the show's opening number. Givenchy's design team is headed by Riccardo Tisci, who is best know for his gothic-inspired pieces and use of dark fabric.

Affair or not, it seems that Madonna still holds some type of influence over NY Yankee, Alex Rodriguez!

According to Rush & Malloy, A-Rod is making a half a million dollar donation to Madonna's Malawian charity, Raising Malawi.

Neither A-Rod's rep nor a spokesperson for the charity would confirm the generous donation.

MTV has announced more nominees for the 2008 Video Music Awards, which will be held on the Paramount lot in Hollywood on September 7. As you may already know, Britney Spears has already been nominated in not one, but two categories, and she's taped a promo for the awards show! We'll definitely be watching.

Anyway, those nominated in the Best New Artist category are pop phenom Miley Cyrus ("7 Things"), the lovely Katy Perry ("I Kissed A Girl"), country star Taylor Swift ("Teardrops on my Guitar"), American Idol-winner Jordin Sparks ("No Air") and Tokio Hotel ("Ready Set Go").

The nominees for Best Dancing In A Video are Madonna ("4 Minutes"), Chris Brown ("Forever"), Pussycat Dolls ("When I Grow Up"), Ne-Yo ("Closer") and Danity Kane ("Damaged").

The 25th annual MTV Video Music Awards air on MTV on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

NY Mag has dubbed Madonna's surgically enhanced face "The New New Face" in a cover story on plastic surgery called "About Face."

Apparently, there's a whole new look for women of a certain age who want to look younger than that certain age, and it's personified by Madonna's "wide open" eyes, her "big baby cheeks", "plumped skin", "defined and angular jaw", "juicy but not too" lips and the "overall heart shape effect" of her face.

But is this combo of super-taut body and baby-plump face really the new ideal of American beauty?

To her routine, anyway!

Just what is going on with Madge these days? Between the rumored divorce, the A-Rod scandal, her brother's tell-all book and now a new book, called Madonna: Confessions from longtime manager Guy Oseary, you'd think the queen of pop is engineering all this chatter herself, to generate more interest in her upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour!

Oh, wait, she IS!

Well, at least in the case of this new book, she is. It's not really a tell-all, according to Page Six, it's just a collection of photos from her 2006 tour, approved by Madonna herself!

Unlike the "unauthorized" book her brother wrote...right?

Madonna and company (this would include her kids: Lourdes, Rocco and David) made their Saturday trip to the Kabbalah Center in NYC once again - only this time the pop star kept her head down on the way in and out. Hmm...

...think she's embarrassed by those pix of her sans makeup?

Now this is a juicy piece of gossip!

Page Six reports that Madonna "ghost-wrote parts" of brother Christopher Ciccone's tell-all book about his sister - which is why there's "nothing too devastating in Chris' book," claims their source.

Also, the insider says Madonna "flirted with and manipulated" Alex Rodriguez to help increase ticket sales for her latest tour, adding: "She's ordered three A-Rod Yankee jerseys she'll wear in the finale of her upcoming shows." Scandalous! But hey, it's Madonna, so who knows!

Think she and Guy have really worked out their issues? Let's hope so - poor David's adoption was only recently made legal, just in time for yet another to scandal to begin!

Come to think of it, I dunno what these two were!

Here's funnylady Sandra Bernhard leaving the same Kabbalah service that Madonna attended in NYC this Saturday... mmm, I've never really been a fan of Sandy, cuz she can be a little grating on the ears, but who isn't a fan of that infamous Letterman episode when she and the Material Girl "joked" about sleeping together?

If Madonna Wanted My Advice (Which I'm Sure She Does), I'd Tell Her:

1. Lift less weights - your arms are big enough!

2. Give kids Lourdes, Rocco and David a break from the press and maybe let them skip a Saturday outing at the Kabbalah center? One week off won't hurt 'em!

And 3., why are there goats, like, leaving the Kabbalah center too? (Check it out in the vid above!) I know that's a question and not a piece of advice, but seriously... what are they doing there?!
