Lourdes Won't Follow in Madonna's Footsteps...For Now!

Madonna's daughter Lourdes seems to have been bit by the acting bug (much like her mom), but don't expect her to de-throne Rumer Willis anytime soon -- Madonna's apparently turned down an offer for her daughter to appear in The Secret Life of Bees, and wants her to have a normal childhood! Well, as normal a childhood as the daughter of Madonna could have, anyway.
A Madge source tells Star, "Madonna didn't work 'til after high school, and she wants it to be the same way for Lourdes. She doesn't want her to enter that harsh world."
But Lourdes apparently already has her mind made up that she'll begin working in 2010, when she turns 14. And if she's anything like her mom, we're guessing she's not going to give up until she gets what she wants!
Although let's hope she's got a little more acting talent than her famously bad-acting mom!
