Madonna's Directing Inspiration Comes From Ex-Husbands Sean Penn And Guy Ritchie

Madonna is hoping her directorial debut for the movie W.E. is a success. With the cast of the movie alongside her, the 53-year-old music icon rocked her L'Wren Scott dress and YSL heels at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
When asked about her directing experience, Madge told the press:
- "I am and was attracted to very creative people which is why I married Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, two very talented directors. They both encouraged me as a director and as a creative person to do what I did, and they were both very supportive."
W.E. stars Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, James Darcy and Andrea Riseborough.
Now back to Madonna's look. With that black and white frock, accessorized with a crucifix necklace, we're not sure if she was inspired by a nun. Holy moly!
