Madonna Stirs Things Up With Drug Comment At Miami Music Festival
Posted on Mon Mar 26, 2012 11:59 AM PDT
Madonna's new album, MDNA, was released today, and while the CD's title has sparked quite a controversy due to its apparent reference to MDMA, or ecstasy, the 53-year-old singer has now gone even farther with the drug references, angering a number of fellow musicians.
When Madonna took the stage on Saturday night to introduce Avicii at Miami's Ultra Music Festival, she asked, "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?"
As many if you may know, Molly is a slang term for MDMA, and even though the crowd erupted in cheers, her fellow musicians aren't happy about it. Deadmau5, who is considered one of the top electronic music producers/DJs, took to Facebook to slam the former Queen of Pop for her remark.
"Very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra," he posted on Facebook this morning. "quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f*cking cant smack my head hard enough right now."
What do YOU think of her comment about Molly?
We think she owes an apology!
