Madonna's Gonna Fight For Someone Else's Her Baby!

Madonna, dressed in highly appropriate and not the least bit offensive military garb, visited a childcare center in Malawi yesterday with her native son David Banda (hope he got to visit with his real family while he was in town!).
The rich pop star is spending a few days in Lilongwe while she tries to rescue a second poor little child from her native land, culture and family and whisk her away to a much more comfortable place on Park Ave.

I missed the first part of this story. What's wrong with Madonna wanting to adopt a child?
Why not adopt from your own backyard?
There are children sitting here in the US waiting for someone to adopt them, give them love and a home. You go to another country (wonder why) and take children from their parents and grandparents, shame on you. Come back to the US and adopt here.
I agree,It is amazing that she is doing that. There is nothing wrong with her adopting a child and giving it a better life. She is doing a beautiful thing, stop hating on her!!!!!!! And it would be HER child, you losers don't have children do you?, you can't possibly understand maternal love. Seriously, get a life, find something else to print.
Why are you making it seem like its wrong for her to adopt a child from another country? Sure there are plenty of children in this country who need to be adopted but some the conditions in other countries are far worse than here. Good for her for giving a child a better life.

"for a better life"? future will tell - raising a brown baby in a white community is fine until she goes to school, when in 1st grade she'll be teased about being different - as an adult, she'll be on her own, in a world where she does not belong - when in Malawi, she would have had an extended family and live in her own culture
adoption raises issues, let alone transracial adoption

I find your comment offensive and ignorant, once a child is adopted his "real" family is his adoptive family.Adoptive children have biological families and their families families. You might use your words more carefully.
I agree with Zara. I find it really frustrating that the media and blog sites like X17 presist in refering to children as a celeb's "adopted" son or daughter. It's thier child. Period. Does it matter if it's by birth or not. Have some respect for the kids.
