REPORT: Madonna's New Movie Is "Just Terrible"

After several failed attempts at acting, Madonna is trying directing with her new movie W.E. Unfortunately, rumor has it she's not much better at directing than she is at acting.
The Daily Mail is reporting that early screening audiences are calling W.E. "just terrible" (in the words of one viewer).
The movie, co-written by 52-year-old Madonna, tells the story of American socialite Wallis Simpson and her lover, Prince Edward, who abdicated the British throne for her in the late 1930s. The couple was depicted on a smaller scale in this year's Best Picture Oscar winner, The King's Speech, with Edward played by Guy Pearce.
Supposedly, W.E is visually pleasing (costumes were made by Galliano with jewelry by Cartier), but is not at the caliber of the almost $30 million it cost to make, with one source telling the Mail calling the script "so-so."
A producer, casting director and actors Ewan McGregor and Vera Farmiga have all dropped out of the movie.
W.E was supposed to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, but withdrew. It will now premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.

Harvey Weinstein's company bought distribution rights to W.E, and The Daily Mail says he is trying to salvage the movie.

Just a small correction: Edward was played buy Guy PEARCE, not Guy Ritchie, Madonna's ex-husband.
This is complete and utter tripe. The Fail's "source" is some random comment online they found made by someone who hates Madonna. There are a lot of reviews out there and the majority of them are extremely positive. The Mail has a history of trashing Madonna because she sued them and won years ago.
Ewan was never attached to the film, Vera was pregnant so she couldn't continue, and film was NEVER submitted to Cannes so it could not have been withdrawn. Lies.
Harvey Weinstein saw the film and instantly bought it up for distribution. He knows if a film has Oscar potential, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered if the film was actually awful since this kind of film would not be a blockbuster.

Well this is the only supposed 'bad report' I've seen I'd it and Weinstein saw tge movie in full before he bought the distribution rights.!! Vera Farmiga dropped out because she wanted to change the script!!! Ewan never agreed in the first place. He was scheduled for something else so ge didn't drop out!! As usual tge Nail are printing a negative story about Madonba. Weinstein wax quoted as saying it was 'Oscar Worthy' when he saw it so I really don't know where this story has come from!!
The King's Speech was about King George and The Queen Mother Elizabeth, the brother and sister in law to King Edward, who abdicated.
