All Good Things...
Barring a miraculous last-second effort by their fans, Billboard is reporting that 2007 will be the first year in which neither Mariah Carey nor Madonna manage to place a single on the Hot 100.
Both women have had a single place on the charts every year since their Billboard debuts..
Mariah's streak dates back to 1990, when she debuted with "Vision of Love". Madonna's streak, however, goes all the way back to "Holiday" - which came out in 1983!
Of course, Billboard is quick to point out that both Mariah and Madonna have albums coming out in 2008, meaning their absence from the charts is probably only temporary.
Still, it's so strange seeing an era end like this - let alone two!
Whose album are you anticipating more eagerly? It's so hard to choose - it might just come down to which producers they use!
