Mariah Carey Was Reportedly Paid $1 Million To Sing At Qaddafi Family Party

The Qaddafi family reportedly paid Mariah Carey $1 million to sing at their New Year's party in the Caribbean two years ago, according to American diplomatic cables obtained by WikiLeaks.
Carey was hired to perform only 4 songs, and the following year Beyonce and Usher reportedly performed at their bash in St. Barthelemy. The information is of interest as Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi is currently involved in a bloody struggle to hold on to power in his home country, with the riots gaining more and more press each day.
