Simon Cowell Confirms Mariah Carey's Involvement On U.S. X Factor

After much speculation, Simon Cowell is finally getting closer to assembling his U.S. X Factor dream team.
Simon previously shot down reports that Mariah Carey would be joining the judges table, but now has confirmed pregnant Carey will be on the show in some capacity.
"I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows," Cowell confirmed radio host Jackie Brown. "I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with. She'll be involved in some form. I literally adore her. I love her to bits."
Simon has previously confirmed super-producer LA Reid as one of the judges and Cheryl Cole is reportedly close to signing a deal. Since Mariah is not an "official judge" that leaves another spot open ... maybe for Jessica Simpson?
The show premieres on FOX in the fall -- can't wait!
