On the one hand you've got Mariah - who always dresses so elegant and classy, wearing sunglasses at night. But that dress... I dunno if it shows off her best assets!
And then there's Tara. The once-promising young Hollywood actress turned party-too-hardy socialite. A better question might be, do either of them really belong at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival???

Mariah is in desparate need of a GOOD stylist. Who is dressing her in age inappropiate clothing? Mimi is not in her 20's anymore. Its embarrasing to watch. Mariah is too pretty for the cheap looking 20 something clothing whomever dresses her in and should be fired.
Mariah is a FAT cow right now. She's old enough to know better than to dress like a slim teenager...and she can afford stylists to advise her on more appropriate outfits. She looks as ridiculous in her clothes as Shitney does in her Circus costumes.

i dont think it is fair to compare mariah to tara! Okay they both look hideous but mariah is one of the world's best selling music artists and tara reid had ONE funny movie.. ONE!! and it was ten years ago! and her part was not the funny part! So yes they both look HID... but Mariah definately deserves to be at Cannes more! And can afford to!
Mimi was in Cannes because they showed her new film, "Precious." She may be style challengled and an egomaniac, but she definitely has a reason to be there. But Tara is just there for the free booze and sex. But what the heck, Phoebe Price is there too and Quentin Tarantino interceded to get her on the red carpet.
I agree with 5:05, how can you compare the 2? Mariah is hot, and her hair looks awesome!!
It's a shame when aged women try to act and look young. I used to like Mariah Carey, until I learnt that her conceit and self centeredness was for real.
