Marie Osmond is back to work on The Donny & Marie Show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, but she will be keeping a lower profile given recent tragic events. A source at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino tells X17online exclusively:
- "Marie is not doing any meet and greets with fans after the show. Until further notice, only Donny will be available to fans for pictures and to sign autographs."
This past weekend, the Osmonds held the funeral for Marie's son Michael Bryan who jumped to his death from his Los Angeles apartment building two weeks ago.
Marie's fans weren't sure that she'd be able to return to the Vegas stage so quickly. Our Flamingo source tells us that after four of the dates were canceled for The Donny and Marie Show, the Flamingo box office was flooded with calls from ticket holders inquiring whether the show would be canceled for the entire month.
But last night, those in attendance at The Flamingo Showroom witnessed the singer getting emotional onstage when talking about her son. Our source tells us exclusively, "If you can wait to see the show, it would be best because she's pretty emotional right now."
We're also told that ticket sales for The Donny and Marie Show have picked up since the tragedy. Last night's show was completely sold out, and as for tonight's performance, only a handful of tickets remain.
Are you amazed that Marie is back to performing so soon?

This family is all kinds of messed up. What grieving mother does a song and dance routine the day after she buries her kid?
A mother that has only known that all her life. If you followed the papers and insider her FAITH is getting her through all of this. I have met her and let me tell you SHE IS A ROCK. She is a wonderful person and one that could easly be my best frined in this world and anyone that has her for a friend is very lucky.
Until you have walked in her shoes (heaven forbid) who are you to judge ?
EXACTLY what I was saying - you rock too.
Keeping busy is probably best for Marie right now. When you have time to sit and think it can make it worse.
we shouold all have the stong family to back us up like she does. with all her problems she is still a lucky person to have a family like her's
IT;S WAY TOO soon TO BE AT WORK,.
iT MAKES HER LOOK AS IF SHE IS DANCING ON HIS GRAVE.WHY ARE WE SURPRIOSED THOUGH THIS IS THE SAME WAY SHE TREATED HIM INLIFE HER CARRER WAS FIRST.
mOST NORMAL MOTHERS WOULD BE CURLED UP IN ABALL CRYING THIER EYES OUT
NOT ON STAGE DOING A SONG AND DANCE NUMBER TO GET MONEY wtf
tHIS LADY IS TACKY AS HELL WHAT A DIRT LEGG!!
How can people say she needs to be busy? The DAY afer the funeral. She has seven other kids in mourning; maybe THEY need her. Selfish, cold biatch. she had no feelings for that son or she could not sing even one song this soon after the funeral. what a dirt bag. poor guy to have such a lousy adoptive mother. don't give me this "faith bs" its still too soon to sing!!@
If my son committed suicide, they'd have to close any show I was in down for at the very minimum 6 months. At the very minimum.
It's real easy to assume that this kid felt he had no warmth in his life at all. I don't think she's capable of it.
I've talked with moms who have walked in Marie's shoes. They don't understand how she could pull herself together to go on stage in Vegas. This goes way beyond "the show must go on" crap. This is just plain cold.
FOR ALL YOUR INFORMATION / THEY HAVE A CONTACT WITH OR WITHOUT DEATH THEY HAVE TO BE AT WORK. WHY DO YOU THINK DONNY WAS STILL DOING THE SHOW WITH THE FLU WHEN HE WAS DOING DANCING WITH THE STARS. I HAPPEN TO BE INVOLVED WITH THE SHOW AND ITS JUST LIKE ANY OTHER JOB YOU HAVE / YOU HAVE ONE WEEK FOR DEATH AND THEN YOU MUST BE BACK AT WORK. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE THE ONE THAT HAS A TICKET TO THE SHOW FOR $200 MAKE YOUR FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS AND THEN BE TOLD WELL THEY DON'T WANT TO PLAY TONIGHT. CANCEL TO MANY SHOWS AND YOUR OUT BABY.
MARIE ALSO LIVES IN VEGAS AND HAS PLENTY OF TIME DURING THE DAY FOR HER CHILDREN AND BELIVE ME SHE MAKES TIME FOR ALL OF THEM. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH.....
hay thats the entertainment business for you.
Bury a kid. Go dancing. Sick.
Her poor kids.
My son was murdered, and i was only allowed 5 days, and had to be back on the job. I completely understand Marie!
Marie is a wonderful mother. Who are we to judge. God bless you and your family, Marie. My prayers are with you and your children during this difficult time.
Thats correct you only get 5 days regardless of the situtation. The Flamingo does not want to have to return all that money on advanced ticket sales - thats why they put 5 shows back on during the easter break - they have to make up for it....I know its a shame but thats life when your a working person...power to Marie for coming back and cudo's to Donny for being by her side.
Life is short! This is so true, so if we can digest this truth, perhaps it will allow us to look to the future, have compassion for those who need it and speak kindly to others, especially at a time of losing a loved one. We can't possibly know what is in anothers heart, mind and spirit...therefore, we should love one another just like Jesus did. Marie may our Father in heaven enfold you all in his loving arms and provide comfort and protection during this time of sadness and loss. In His love, Cathy from Australia xx
Cathy from Australia - you ROCK
