Marie Osmond's Son Commits Suicide

Posted on Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:55 AM PDT

mariesondead.jpg Marie Osmond's son Michael Blosil committed suicide by jumping to his death around 9pm on Friday evening. Marie's brother Donny tells Entertainment Tonight, "Please pray for my sister and her family."

Michael reportedly left a note, and he has struggled with depression over the years. Back in 2007, Michael, then 16, was admitted to a rehabilitation facility.

RIP.

How terrible for her and her family, suicide is never the answer...it's way worse for the family that they leave behind.

Posted by: Anonymous

Was he gay?????

Unfortunately, a lot of young gay young Mormons commit suicide due to the religion's unwielding oppsition to same-sex attraction.

Posted by: Anonymous

Marie has problems with her kids because she is trying to keep them in Mormonism - which is a fcuked up religion that would drive any sane person intodepression/suicide.

Posted by: Anonymous

She and her children both have been through an awful lot. She's a survivor. Leave her alone!!!

Morm Mormonism is a FRAUD!!!!

DNA has already shown that the ancient Americans came from Asia.

They are NOT Hebrews, as the Book of Mormon claims.

The founder (Joseph Smith) made it all up because was involved in get-rich schemes.

JS also "married" himself dozens of wives who were already married. And also took additional wives, some as young as 14 years!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

She She has been through lot BUT she still hasn't learned that much of it was caused by her crazy religion.

Posted by: Anonymous

This has nothing to do with religion. It has to do with depression and possible drug use. I wish people would stop blaming everything on religion. Personally I follow no religion and feel no need to. I feel very sorry for the family and hope they can cope with this loss.

Posted by: Anonymous

Utah has the highest consumption of anti-depressant in the nation!
Of course it has to do with the Mormon religion.

Posted by: Anonymous

Mormonism makes sane people depressed and possibly suicidal.
Why?
Because most people realize down deep that the claims of Mormonism are fraudulent.

This causes cognitive dissonance in many members and they direct their anger against themselves or others.
Or they try to nullify it through drugs.

Posted by: Anonymous

I feel bad for her but Marie really should have learned by now that Mormonism does not deliver any of the things it promises its members.

Posted by: Anonymous

Utah is also the fraud capital of America.
Much of it perpetuated by Mormon business people who prey on their own members and others.
They love to get people involved in pyramid schemes and fleece them of their money.

Of course, Mormonism is the biggest PYRAMID SCHEME OF THEM ALL - SELLING SALVATION IN THE HEREAFTER FOR HARD CASH RIGHT NOW.

The only sane path
is not to believe in any god
as there is none

Posted by: Donna Talamo

I am so sorry for her loss. My prayers go out to Marie Osmond and her family.

Posted by: Anonymous

wasnt he one of her 5 adopted children?

Posted by: Anonymous

pray for her and her family. nothing else matters right now.

Posted by: Anonymous

My prayers go out to Marie and her family for their loss.I pray god will give them peace .

Posted by: Anonymous

isn't scientology another " Made up get rich religion?" It was founded by Ron L. Hubbard,No different than John Smith and his excuse for starting up a " do as you want get rich off of low self esteemed people." There are other pop up off the wall religion too.
Now for her son.. That is her child no matter how old he is, it is still her child and it will always hit her like a mac truck everyday of the rest of her life.. I feel for her, cause suicide is the most selflessness thing a person can do.. Enough said.

Posted by: Anonymous

There is only no PROOF of god... How horrible that this happened, that must have hurt :( he had so much life ahead of him.. too bad he couldn't see that.. What a lost soul

Posted by: Anonymous

As someone that has battled depression for over 30 years I can say with certainty that it is the most misunderstood challenge in life. Unless you've experienced it to the level Michael apparently did you have no right to "judge" what was or wasn't in his life. The story was about a tragedy that has happened NOT!!! about a religion. We ALL the the right to choose for ourself what we are going to believe and how we're going to live our life. It is selfish arrogance to criticize another's choices.

Posted by: Anonymous

I am speechless after reading some of these comments. Are we seriously trying to cause this family more pain and sorrow then they are already going through! We cannot justify the reason of why what happened, happened. We didnt know the family or the situation. And who cares what religion they are or arent plenty of people from other religions and even no religion also commit suicide, i think you all forgot that! Part of being human is the respect for others and their beliefs! We should feel more sorrow and sadness fro this family, then trying to come up with the reason of why he did it! Get over yourselves, A MOTHER LOST HER CHILD...DOES THAT SEEM TO AFFECT ANYONE, OR ALL YOU ALL STILL TRYING TO COME UP WITH THE REASON WHY??

Posted by: Anonymous

Well said.

Posted by: Anonymous

Oh yes, the Mormon faith is such a horrible religion. Please! Does anyone realize they are the number one humanitarain religion in all of the world and offers MILLIONS towards disaster relief. The ONE THING this church preaches is to NOT JUDGE any other religion. I am not even a member, but have many friends who are the most caring, loving and family oriented people I know. Get your facts straight you idiots. If the first thing you can do is point fingers and not show compassion, you obviously are a LOST SOUL yourself. Praying for you Marie and family.

Posted by: Anonymous

This is a time of mourning for the loss of a child. Not a time to debate Mormonism or anything else.
God bless the little children for they shall see the kingdom of God.

Posted by: Anonymous

It seems that there a great deal of people (who obviously can't spell) that are threatened by us Mormons. Maybe you need therapy to overcome your gay tendencies. Sounds like some guilt there???????

Posted by: Anonymous

Marie at this moment is just another mother deeply grieving her child. Try to see her as that and not a superstar Mormon right now.

Posted by: Anonymous

Thniking of you Marie and Brian. Let's don't forget that this young man had a father too.

Posted by: Anonymous

Some of these comments made my skin crawl and realize how many sad sick people there in the world.

Posted by: Anonymous

I can't believe you people blaming Marie's religion fot this horrible situation depression knows no religion our grandpa took his life he was of no religion just depressed you people need to think before you open your big uncaring thoughts in print. His mother father and sibling are suffering, I hope someone does not judge you when it is your time.

Posted by: Anonymous

This is a real tragedy and it not a podium for those whose lack decency in their spouting off on what they THINK they know of her religion. It shows your deep ignorance and the Osmond family doesn't need your lack of decency and lack of compassion.
SHAME ON YOU FOR YOUR CRUDE REMARKS!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

I get the feeling that the same person is posting their religious intolerance on this site over and over. Do you think?

Posted by: Anonymous

Suicide is always sad; just ask Judas??
Also ask the rich religious pawns who did not believe in God or the devil or in spirits; those pawns were of the past and they were known as the Sadducees. They believed in money and not spiritual values; that's why, they were so sad, you see??..

Posted by: Anonymous

Judas was murdered

Posted by: Anonymous

it is very sad about the loss of marie's son. and some of the comments posted show the intelligence of some people. if it was the loss of their child..would they appreciate comments like this? everyone has their own beliefs and that's a privilage of being an american. my prayers go out to marie and her family and may the find the strength to get through this terrible time

Jesus is the only answer. Ask Him,
He will respond to you...He will give you joy, peace and life..everlasting.Jesus said" I am the way , the Truth and the Life, no man comes to God but through me."
John 3:16..God gave His only son that anyone who believes in Him, will not die

Many families have lost someone special over the past several days. That does not minimize the pain Marie, as a mother and her sons dad are sharing tonight. Leave the families alone and let them grieve in private. With deepest sympathy for your loss. Know that many people are holding you in their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. With deepest sympathy.

This is so sad We might not agree with other religions, but the intolerant ignorant comments here are really uncalled for. My condolences and prayers to this young mans family. To the hateful posters : please don't be so judge mental ya never know when suicide will affect your family.

Posted by: Anonymous

My sincere condolences Marie to you and your wonderful family. Please disregard all of the above rude comments. Compensation will return to those people who spend their time hurting others.

Posted by: Anonymous

Well we had all better be praying for her and our own children. It must be horrible to lose a child, I can not imagine. Depression is an awful demon. The bible is very clear that gay/lesbian and people who commit suicide will not enter heaven. Actually there will be NO sin entering heaven..So get your life right. There is NOTHING worth going to hell over.

Oh Marie I'm deeply sorry and my heart goes out to you. I know this kind of pain my son passed may 7, 1994 it's still hurts today as it did all those years ago. For people to be so cruel and to try to analyze why this happened is just sad to me. Unfortunately this happems all to often and you dont have to be LDS our children are living in a hard world these days my Prayers and love goes out to you, Clara, Ut.

My heart goes out to her and her family. This is a devastating loss to them all. Wasn't Michael the one who told her he was worried about her weight and wanted her to lose weight so she could live longer?
This isn't about religion but I have to tell you that I'm not Mormon, but I've lived in SLC for the past 3 years and the LDS are lovely people and the kids raised in the church are some of the best I've ever seen and they grow up to be the most helpful, unselfish adults you'll ever know. Just like Marie and Donny, and the rest of their family.

Posted by: Anonymous

My prayers and thoughts go out to Marie and her family. It is so hard to lose someone to suicide. I lost my brother to suicide when he was 64 years old...right after he went blind. We don't know how people are feeling at the time they chose to end their life...unless we are in their shoes. Only God will ever know. God Bless you Marie and your family.

Posted by: P. Howell

To those who blamed her religion shame on them. This is a time to lift her and her family up in prayer. Her son's problems are not the object here. We are supposed to be posting our condolences here not bringing her down. May God bless her and her family with his strength and peace to face everyday without their beloved brother, son and nephew. All our sympathies and prayers are with you and your family.

Posted by: P. Howell

To those who believe there is no God Almighty I feel mighty sorry for you. Because even those who don't believe will have to stand before him and be judged. This world didn't just happen. Those who never had a problem with depression should not say anything. Those who are on here to use profanity I would venture to say there may never be a nice thing said about you on your passing.

Posted by: Anonymous

My heart goes out to Marie and her family on the very sad loss of her beloved son. She is experiencing every parent's worse nightmare the loss of a child and my heart is breaking for her and the boys father.

Posted by: Anonymous

Suicide occurs in all religions and in all walks of life. The sources are many and varied, from genetic disorders to drugs, to emotional devastation. The sufferers cannot make the "sad" go away. Slam the heavens with prayer for those who have lost their way and feel they can no longer fight for life--pray they will fight, and win, and see morning as a golden jewel from God, not as just one more gray day...

Has she ever been there for her kids? Seems like all she's doing is constantly working. Seems like it's all about Marie and fame.

Posted by: Anonymous

"Judge not, lest you be judged."
Take a look at the 8x8 mote in your own eye before you point out the 4X4 beam in another's.

Posted by: Anonymous

Look .She probably could have made a go of her first marriage, if it wasn't for interference by her church.

Then she marries again and burdens herself with EIGHT kids, due to Mormon church influence.
Some of those kids are adopted and really aren't interested in Mormonism, but of course she tries to keep them in the cult.

I'm not surprised she has problems and that her second marriage failed. Between that many kids and a demanding cult on her back it was almost a given.

She made decisions the Mormon way - which is a certain cause of grief.

Marie, I hope you take good care of you and your children. What a hard, hard, thing you are now going through. I can't imagine your pain. Just know that tons of us are praying for you and your family, and hoping that Heavenly Father and His ministering angels walk with you and buoy you up in your deepest moments of heartache, pain, and sadness. We all love you. Know that.

@2:42pm

Compared to what the Mormon church takes in, they are only spending a tiny fraction on "disaster relief". It amounts to about 0.30cents per Mormon over decades.

Most of that consists of outdated medicine and crappy stuff from D.I.
China returned a boatload of their shyt and refused to accept such "charity".

The Mormon church does NOT open their books to the members and how leaders spend the money is kept a losely guarded secret!

Of course, we can see where some of the money goes - on luxury hotels and leadership housing in Hawaii, and the infamous Mall in Salt Lake City which amounts to BILLIONS of dollars. Meanwnhile, the Mormon church does not even help their own members in this present crisi, some of whom have paid thousand of dollars in tithes.

WISE UP!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

No one evr believes they are in a cult. Until the last 15 minutes, when they start ladeling out the cyanide. Mormomism and Scientology are about equally destructive.

Posted by: Anonymous

Mormonism was a fraud from its very beginning.

Posted by: Anonymous

I'm sure Marie doesn't think of any of her children as a 'burden'. I'm not LDS, but I enjoy friendships with many of them. There just aren't better people and their religion is NOT a cult. They have helped me when I needed it and I'm grateful their religion teaches them not only to believe in Jesus but to serve others the way He would do if he were here. Heartfelt wishes for Marie and Michael's father, Brian Blosil, and all of their family to be comforted and strengthened as they walk through this indescribable sorrow. May we all reflect on being more kind, understanding, and supportive of each other. We never know when tragedy will strike in our own lives.

Posted by: Anonymous

Mormonism never was happiness.

Posted by: Anonymous

Oh please 7:38 stop lying. Mormons always write they are no members but they admire Mormons etc etc.

Does God's supposedly "true church" really need lying apaoligist? Shame on you. If it was true it could withstand any scrutiny.

Posted by: Eve, having been true and faithful....

Like all cults, Mormonism has an outer layer which is shown to non-members and an inner layer which is secretive and which Mormons swear not to disclose.

They masquerade as a family church to outsiders but do cultish things in their temples.
I've been there, so don't tell me differently.

Posted by: Anonymous

I feel very bad for Marie but yes, Mormonism has not done much for this family.
I wish I had a nickel for every depressed/suicidal Mormon I've seen.

Posted by: Cindy

What is wrong with you people!?!? This is not about religion! This is about a young man that was lost, confused and scared. It makes no differance what you chose to believe. You can worship how you want to, to whatever higher power you chose to worship. You can worship Kermit the Frog if you want. We were given our free agency to worship as we please. Judge not least you be judged yourself. And if you feel the need to be a jerk and slam others beliefs, know the facts before you start preaching about things you don't understand and makeup things to make you feel superior to others. It only shows how dense you really are. Yhey are called "The church of JESUS CHRIST of Latterday saints. NOT the church of Joseph Smith.
Stop and think before you open your mouth. There is no call to attack a woman that has just lost a child. If something happens to you, I hope they don't treat you as unfairly and cruel as you have Marie. She is a Daughter, a sister and above all a mother. She is hurting so deeply. She needs love and compation right now. And if you can't say something nice then SHUT UP!!!!! I'm sure your mother taught you better than that.
You are in our hearts and prayers Marie. And remember you are never alone. If you only see one set of footsteps in the sand, remember whose footsteps they are.

Love someone who loves you unconditionly. And remember he had Mother and Father waiting for him with open arms.

Any time a "church" wants 10% of your gross income, tells you what to eat and what to wear, and demands unquestioning obedience to the leader, on top of expecting your free work, it's - you guessed it - a CULT.

Posted by: Anonymous

7:59 spoken like a Mormon.

BUT the Mormon church does NOT allow for free agency.

Note that you are supposed to turn your free agency over to the Mormon church and its fake prophet.

Posted by: Anonymous

7:59
According to Mormon doctrine, a person who commits suicide cannot enter the Celestial Kingdom.
Stop whitewashing Mormonism.

Posted by: Anonymous

Mormonism is a horrible religion. If you don't pay them, you cannot enter a temple, which means such a person will lose their standing for eternity.

Of course it's not the church of Joseph Smith.

It's the cult of MONEY, for that is the only true god of Mormonism.

Posted by: Anonymous

Unquestioning Obedience and demands to follow leadership in all things were hallmarks of Nazism!!!!!!!!

Authority should ALWAYS be questioned!!!!

NEVER sign your rights as an American over to some cult and its questionable "Authority"!!!!!!

Mormonism has no authority.

Posted by: Anonymous

No one is attacking Marie, just pointing out how much misery the Mormon church causes in the lives of believers.

Posted by: J. Roldan

The family is in my thougts and prayers. My heart goes out to the family. May God bless this family with peace and comfort during this sad time. May they reach out to Jesus in this trying time.It is hard to loose a loved one to any death.
People should have compassion and check their opinions at the door. OFFER CONDOLENCES and NOT CRITISM. Please, the exact reasons don't matter. This family has lost a precious loved one. Allow the family to grieve privately without asking rude or hurtful questions. This world would be a whole lot better off if people looked for the good in others, not the bad. It is a shame I have to chastise other adults, who should know better.

Posted by: anonymous

Depression is a terrible disease, and people that are depressed and take their life don't know what they are doing. I know from personal experience in my family. We need to support Marie and her family going through this. We must only feel compassion for Marie and her family. You never want to lose a kid, and especially under those circumstances. May God help and give her strength.

Posted by: Anonymous

Depression is invariably made worse by Mormonism and other cults.

Posted by: Anonymous

Mormonism preys on people who are down on their luck.

Mormon missionaries are often told to seek out families who had a recent death in order to convert them. So they look through obituaries and show up on doorsteps.

The sad fact is that people who are in pain often cannot make rational decisions, which is precisely what cults like Mormonism count on.

Posted by: Anonymous

The Mormon church is closing 14 missions this year and there will be an equal number closing for 2011 and 2012 respectively.
They have lost Europe and most other nations whose citizens have access to a computer and a mouse.
Most of the converts these days are mentally ill or in third world nations.
The stone rolling forth is nothing but a freaking pebble.

Posted by: Anonymous

The web has done to Mormonism what Martin Luther did to the catholic church.

Posted by: Anonymous

Amen.

Posted by: Anonymous

Religious indifferences aside... I will have the good family of The Osmonds in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss Marie. God be with you.

Posted by: Anonymous

Don't know how good they really are since we do not know what goes on beyond their door step.

One of Marie's daughters is in a Lesbian relationship and now a son killed himself.
Sounds like a disastrous family,actually.

Posted by: Anonymous

Marie would have had her hands full just raising two kids of her own, well spaced apart.

But 8 kids, just to show what a wonderful Mormon she is, gimme a break.
The chickens are coming home to roost.

I also feel very bad for the adopted kids, they landed in a mess.

Moreover, church social services no doubt told some poor unwed mothers their kid would be so much better off in a "celestial family" - and they got twice divorced Marie instead.

Posted by: Anonymous

All cult type religions are disastrous peoples lives. Marie Osmond and her family aren't the only victims.

Posted by: Anonymous

maria and family may god bless you now and always, may he be there ever so strongly in your time of sorrow.

For all you morons out there how have no compassion for others in there time of grief may god forgive you of your wicked thoughts and no i'm not mormon am catholic

Posted by: Anonymous

The only morons are believing Mormons.... delusional souls.

Posted by: Anonymous

LOL joseph smith claiming he ran while carrying the gold plates.

With the dimensions he gave of the gold plates, there is no way in hell he could have carried them - they were too heavy.

Posted by: Anonymous

The whack job hatin on the Mormons needs an exorcism.

Posted by: Hendrik de Vuile

All religions have elements that are hard to swallow and Mormonism does indeed seem like a weird confidence trick to non-believers. However, I often used to think how normal and healthy, even broad-minded, the Osmond family used to seem in their songs and banter on TV. I really liked them all. It may be a factor in the tragedy that Marie's family broke up not long ago for reasons unknown to me, which strikes me as odd in such a strict religion and with so many biological and adopted children, and why was the 18-year-old boy living by himself, especially in view of his mental and addiction problems? Loneliness can play a great part in depression and suicide.

Posted by: Anonymous

Let me just speak for myself.

Mormonism is Awesome!

A 30 year Marriage and 4 great children with soon to be a 4th grand child.

It worked for me!

Posted by: nat

I feel sorry for Michael. Where was his mother 2007? - getting a divorce from the only family he knew! He was adopted, and who knows how old or young he was. Then the same year he enters a depression rehab center? Come on people this is no coincidence! She's a celebrity constantly on the go; no telling what kind of family life he had, if at all stable. Their religion thing apparently doesn't work because if they truly had Jesus in their hearts they would see that depression is a sin against God-because it is a "ME" centered sin. When "in Jesus" you can give Him anything because He has already taken care of it! Just repent and ask for forgiveness, and trust Jesus as Lord in your heart.

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!! Are you forgetting that a family has just lost a loved one?? Have you, yourselves never lost a loved one? Are some of these posts the kind of thing you would want to read at a time like this? There are other sites to "release" your frustrations with religion, parenting, and career choices where your opinion would be more appreciated and this is not that site! To Marie, Brian and the rest of your family, May you find the love and support you need now at this very difficult time in your lives. God Bless.
Respectfully,

Well to the people that say there is no God..You are definately wrong...I saw my husband battle depression for over 10 years he tried to commit suicide over and over the last straw was when we were camping and he lost it with everything took off then gassed himself in our car...a lady that saw what happened came looking for me she told me she would be my prayer partner and prayed with me every morning...my husband survived the Gasing he was put in a decompression chamber to bring up his oxygen levels etc it was that bad...well to cut a long story short...he survived alright through the power of prayers we prayed for him every day...it has been years now and he has complete recovery...he is not on any medication where before he was on 15-20 tablets daily the specialist put him on...God does exist because he answered our prayers and changed my husband around...not only my husbands but also my 3 daughters that were also going through a ruff time coping with everything ...God Does exsists you just need to listen for his voice in the quiet of the morning and you will hear him speak to you...its an awesome feeling to hear the voice of God...Taste and see that the Lord is Good..I am praying for Marie and her family.. I am a christian but not a mormon..I dont condemn any religion God is in all the churches...who are we to judge...God Bless

He survived through good medical care, idiot.

3:55 For most Mormons, the religion is NOT awsome. And pointing this out does not make anyone anti or a hater or a nut job.

If you enjoy paying 10% of your gross income to a cult, wear magical underwear, work for them for free while the top hierarchy gives no accounting where the money goes, FINE.

There is one born every minute.
Have fun cleaning the chapel toilets while paying for the privigeg, while leaders are too cheap to hire janitors.

Posted by: Anonymous

If 3:55 only had 4 kids she wasn't living the Mormon God's commandments fully.

Mormon "apostles" tell young people to marry early and encourage them not to prevent births.

Translation : they want young couple to breed more future tithe payers, no matter what the personal costs. It's cheaper than trying to bring in converts.

The dummies who obey usually find themselves in dire financial straits, while the cult does nothing to help them.

Dallin Oaks just recently gave a talk in the Midwest, telling members not to count on the church to help them out.

Posted by: Anonymous

Stay away from Mormons, Scientologists, and some Evangelical churches. They all are too intrusive and too demanding.

Posted by: Anonymous

cleaning toilets on top of paying tithes on gross income? hahahahaha

Posted by: julie ann

so sad for marie and her family my condolences and my prayers go out to them.take no notice of the cruel remarks that some people have said they ought to get a life and have some respect for you and all your family

Posted by: Anonymous

How big is your ego Marie! How much money do you need???? Your sick child was in Los Angeles and you were on stage in Vegas???? You are always away from home and not parenting your children and you have lots of them. Your mother had a lot of kids and she didn't work - because she knew she had way too many people she was responsible for...THAT is how she managed to raise good kids. You should of been more of a mother to your kids instead of always looking for attention in the public eye. Stay home and raise the rest of your kids...oh yes you do have enough money....Be A MOM!!!! Your hayday is over...

Truthfully, and honestly, from personal experience, all of the comments left here regarding mormonism, its fraudulent nature and its abuses on the human mind are true. I have experienced it with my wonderful girlfriend whose family is Mormon and is driving her to suicidal thoughts as they tell her she has lost her mind, is a whore and a sinner and will not go to heaven, and is destroying her family, all for dating me, a non-mormon. This is the dark truth of the influence of the Mormon church in the lives of many Mormon families. It is a sick, manipulative cult religion that has not place in this world, and has a good deal to do with marie's poor son's depression over the years. Knowing from my personal experiences with my girlfriend's family, there is a lot of nasty guilting that goes on behind closed doors. Michael's death is a VERY public exposure of the perils of Mormonism and its grips on its members. I am so sorry for poor Michael who, if he was indeed gay, must have suffered from the feeling that he had an "illness" he could not cure himself from. I hope that the Mormon church's evils are exposed, that the doors are opened to this horrible emotional abuse encouraged by church doctrine and "prophecies."

Posted by: Anonymous

Although I too believe that the Mormon Faith is misleading and corrupt, I don't believe it has anything to do with Michael's depression or why he committed suicide. I am and EMT and see a lot of suicides, especially among teens and I can assure you that there are so many pressures on kids today that its a wonder they don't all need treated for depression. When I was young you never heard of anyone taking anti-depressants or ADHD drugs now it seems that over half of the kids today are taking Ritalin or some sort of medication for depression. Sadly, in every case of teen suicide I've been involved in someone is always standing in the background saying "I wish I had seen this coming" or "I never thought he would go to this extreme" It seems that no matter how hard they try to rehabilitate these kids, some of them simply can't be saved and blaming their family members certainly isn't necessary..this same problem could exist in our own families somewhere down the road. I think we need to focus on two things...what can we do to get this vicious cycle stopped among our teens today and a family has suffered a great loss and we as a nation should pray for them and not condemn them.

Judas was not murdered! He killed himself becasue he betrayed Jesus with 30 pieces of silver and after he (Judas) realized what he had done, he killed himself, the demons helped with that. Read your christian bible people and there is a God and one day you will kneel before Him and declare that Jesus us King of Kings and Lord of Lords whether you believe in Him or not. I am a fan of Marie and even though I don't believe in Mormonism, I will pray that God comforts her and be with her. I will also place my hand over these messages written on here and pray that the people that are writing the nasty stuff about people, that they find no pleasure in doing so....God loves everyone but you need to believe in the gospel in order to be saved...Peace out!

I, too, believe in God. If it hadn't been for God, these doctors would never have been able to cure this man of his depression. If God had wanted to take him, He would have, the doctors wouldn't have been able to do anything, no matter how hard they tried.
I'll never understand what jollies people get by bullying others. The only thing I can come up with, is that they are so insecure they have to down others to build themselves up. You will never be free and may GOD help you.
Marie, I'm so sorry for what you are having to go through right now. No parent should have to bury their child. And for the ones who have no children and downing Marie for her parenting, walk a mile in our shoes and see how hard it is to raise a child. No two children are the same, no matter how they are raised, they can be as different as night and day. Marie could have been there 24/7, he would have still found a way to take his life.

To the cruel and judgemental comments. Put down the Magnifying glass and pick-up the mirror. My heart goes out to the family. Also it seems that the people who do not believe are not happy with their lives, maybe something to learn there?

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
