Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a book signing at Borders in Westwood last night, and they were joined by some of their favorite people - PETA protesters! Think the twins will ever make amends with the animal rights organization?

Sam brighten up- Wearing leather is not the same as wearing fur. Leather is the product of regulated cattle farming. Fur is the product of an unregulated industry where animals are killed just for their coats which is unjustifiable. In addition the majority of the worlds fur is imported from china where they skin animals alive, look on youtube. Im not a member of Peta and I wear leather and eat meat sometimes, you dont have to be a member of Peta to understand fur is not cool.

Faux fur is wonderful, its lighter, warm and looks great and you can be confident nothing was skinned alive for you to look nice!
Why would you want to be connected to the pain the animal suffered?
The people who argue that the animals were not alive when skinned are not facing the facts, its common practice in the industry so not to damage the pelts and reduce costs.
There have been numerous films made to show people what goes on but there are people who prefer to ignore the evidence or are in denial.
Leather, sheepskin and meat are the products of cattle farming which is regulated to ensure the animals are treated with relative care unlike the fur industry and where they are also killed only for their coats.
