Ok...did you never have a kid, Ms. x17? This is called "dropping"...that means the baby has commenced the process of leaving the womb...i.e. it's getting a lot closer to delivery time. This happens to many, many women!
It just tends to happen.... if the baby is head down the belly looks a bit smaller on the upper part and viceversa.

I am just about as far along as she is and sometimes its the clothes that make you look bigger or smaller. it could be that the baby dropped or the baby just changed to a different position.

As you should know, babies drop just before birth, making the protruding stomach look smaller and the bump lower. It's obvious that the baby has dropped and it won't be much longer now.

When a baby drops (begins to descend into the birth canal) it gives the illusion of the bump getting smaller. It just means that she will pop any day now. You guys should know better.
