It may be December, but Mel Gibson is still rocking his man sandals!

The actor was snapped shortly after landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday night, and he was all smiles as he strolled through the terminal to his car. Mel purchased a few properties in Panama so he does spend quite a bit of time in the country, but it sounds like he's also still trying to get filming started on a biopic about Vasco Nunez Balboa, a Spanish conquistador. Apparently Mel's been working on the project since 2007, so maybe 2013 will be his lucky year?

But back to Mel's outfit ... weren't his toes freezing?!

On Friday, Mel Gibson was grinning from ear-to-ear after arriving on a flight at LAX in the afternoon.

The 56-year-old actor has been pretty comfortable lately, dating Ashley Cusato and gearing up for his latest film Machete Kills (in theaters July 2013) alongside Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Charlie Sheen. Seems like things are looking up for Mel!

On Thursday, Mel Gibson caught up with an unknown lady friend for some coffee in Malibu.

The 56-year-old actor appeared to be having a good time with his gal pal. He's been recently linked to actress and stuntwoman Ashley Cusato for over a month now, so this could just be one of his close confidants. It's good to see him out and about though!

Mel Gibson and a gorgeous girlfriend of his had some fun on Friday as they dined at STK and later on hit up club AV in Hollywood last night. Who knew he still had it in him?

The 56-year-old actor seemed in high spirits despite his ex-wife Robyn getting a huge chunk of his retirement package per the couple's divorce case. Nothing a night out on the town can't fix!

Mel Gibson went OFF on a paparazzo photographer Monday afternoon in Malibu, flying into a screaming rage in front of an entire mini mall of on-lookers.

The notoriously hot-tempered actor went after after two different photographers (no X17 guys) who were snapping pix of him and his daughter Lucia. He had warned the paps to leave him alone but when that didn't happen, he went WILD!

He approached one photographer, yelling and waving his hands ... until he'd had enough with his first victim. Then he went after another guy who had pretended to be a patron of the frozen yogurt store where Mel was with his daughter. Mel wasn't buying it, spotted the camera in the guy's bag, and went after him too.

In the end, Mel begged off, went back to his daughter and the girl's nanny, and went home. But the photographers and by-standers were left with the mouths hanging open after seeing one of the biggest actors around put on the performance of a lifetime!

Mel Gibson was spotted at the Phoenix, Ariz. outpost of the Mayo Clinic today, a source tells X17online.com exclusively.

The actor admitted his 93-year-old father, Hutton Gibson, to the Clinic in October, where his dad was subsequently diagnosed with kidney failure. Mel's step-mother Joye Gibson has been battling the actor's father in court over claims of domestic violence.

Hutton was admitted to the Mayo Clinic again in January, before traveling to Panama later in the month to receive stem cell treatments.

Mel Gibson grabbed a late night bite with Formula One heiresses Petra and Tamara Ecclestone at Boa in West Hollywood.

Petra recently dropped $85 milllion on Candy Spelling's Beverly Hills mansion. With that being said, wonder who picked up the bill?
