Mel Gibson's The Beaver Receives Standing Ovation In Cannes

Mel Gibson may have had a rough year so far personally, but his new flick The Beaver is giving his professional life a boost.
The Jodie Foster-directed movie just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and after it finished, the audience gave a 10-minute standing ovation, according to Deadline.
Gibson missed the press conference for the film earlier today, however he did find the time to goof off on his hotel balcony ... shirtless and smoking.

Congrats Mel...they tried to destroy you for years, yet your talent and humanity can never be taken from you.
To be honest with you, I really don't think it's bad at all.
Not a big Gibson fan here, but I've gotta say that I find the Hollywood trend for both men and women to be as skinny as possible to be very disturbing.
I actually like it when a man is a little "bigger", and I think there is nothing wrong with a man having a "real mans" body.
I think his body looks just fine the way it is.
Listen up Hollywood: Not everyone in this world is only attracted to skinny people.
