Mel Gibson And Jodie Foster Promote The Beaver In Cannes

Mel Gibson and The Beaver director Jodie Foster hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. We gotta say ... Mel certainly cleans up nicely. After yesterday's awkward shirtless incident on the balcony of his hotel, we were beginning to wonder how Mr. Gibson was going to pull it together.
The audience who watched the first screening of The Beaver in Cannes gave a 10-minute standing ovation when it was over, according to Deadline.
The Beaver opens wide on May 20, and despite Mel's personal drama, we'll see if the flick can crawl its way into becoming a box office success.

Reviews for the Beaver were mixed at best. Even Ebert didn't much like it. And besides I agree with the captain, who wants to see a movie with a known racist and an abuser?
Getting a STANDING OVATION is def WINNING! As or Ebert well by now we all know he is the biggest Left Wing Hack Chicagoland has produced, if the movie doesn't have a socialist propaganda agenda to push he smears it ..which explains the Media Darling Status he enjoys in political/hollywood circles. Critics like the MSM newspapers the write for have lost all credibility.
