DEXTER's Michael C. Hall Kills Our Questions
Posted on Tue Nov 21, 2006 09:16 AM PDT
For a lesser-known celeb on a struggling Showtime series about a serial killer, former Six Feet Under star Michael C. Hall sure didn't want to take advantage of our questions about the show to promote Dexter! Maybe he was just surprised that our photog actually recognized him underneath that beard! (A literal beard, not the figurative one!)
I have to admit, that beard is kinda hot on him!

what a dipshit...you ever hear of self promotion....i mean who cares what the clips for...strange
So he doesn't want a camera in his face...he doesn't really need your brand of promotion anyway, the show got picked up for a second season.
Dexter isn't struggling, I watch that show every Sunday it is awesome!
That show is fucking amazing. He's not the kind of actor who gives a shit about this fucking website. get over yourself x17!
That guy kicks ass and he does Not have to talk to you!
Yay! Picked up for a 2nd season...love him, love the show....loved Six Feet Under.
Hey, cool video. I used to drive cab during college (twelve years), and met a lot of celebrities. They really get too many people asking them for stuff all the time, so I ignored them, pretty much. Once I had Dr. Joyce Brothers in my cab, and I didn't recognize her (talk about the miracles of plastic surgery... she kind of hit on me and I kind of like it). I happened to see another celebrity jogging down Michigan Avenue here in Chicago while I had Dr. Brothers in my cab.. SO I said to her, "When I see a celebrity, I never bring up who they are, unless they want to."
Then when I dropped her off, she handed me a ten for three dollar fare and said keep the change. That is when I looked at her full in the face and realized who she was. Just my luck, I am only cool by accident.
I love this show, by the way, and anyone who has showtime on demand can watch all of the episodes. I think that is brilliant marketing.
Keep up the good work. I love this site.
And who cares if he talked to you or not, I suppose. He was nice, at least.
By the way, Tim Roth and Axel Rose are the biggest assholes I met, while Michael Richards and Bill Curtis were the coolest, by far.
By the way, if you want to check out my serial killer character, who is slap stick... go to http://theelvesattic.ebloggy.com
And go Dexter!!!
Yay, Dexter!
I love the way he walks! Anyways, he is such a talented actor and I heard that Dexter is doing really well, so why would he want to stop and talk about it with some random person with a camera? He's above that.
With all the stalkers and paparazzi making celebs' lives a living hell, he was polite to you. And kudos to you for respecting his privacy and not pursuing him. He's a good guy, at least he didn't pull a Russell Crowe on ya.
Dexter is highly critically acclaimed. If you haven't seen it, it is definitely worth the subscription to Showtime. It's my fav show since SFU was laid to rest (pun intended).
Love the attempted interview video, and thanks again for respecting his privacy.
I heard, he is always very nice to fans, so don´t fuck that up with stalking him. If all celebs were so humble and unassuming...
I used to run http://www.sixfeetunderfan.com, which was the largest "Six Feet Under" fan site on the net, and I went to see Michael C. Hall and his wife, Amy Spanger, in "Chicago" on Broadway. After the show, I waited at the stage door and introduced myself. He was aware of the website, and was absolutely charming. He shook my hand, thanked me for my devotion to the series. He said it was very flattering. He agreed to take a picture with me for the site. A few days later, after I had the picture developed, I came back to the stage door after another performance, with the picture in hand, and he remembered me from the week before, and took me behind the fenced off area, and he and his wife talked to me for a while and autographed the picture. He's a total sweetheart to his fans.
He wanted to make a quick trip to the supermarket and be left alone. I think he, as well as any celebrity, should be allowed that privilege. I'm sure he does enough press junkets and interviews all the time that he just wanted a break for a bit.
You expect him to stop to talk to some asshat in the street?
x17=asshats
wow, he was really nice, and the headline blasts him as an unknown celeb on a struggling series?
Wow... you guys are dicks.
By the way.. Dexter = TV.com's #1 rated show
Great journalism! So we all know now:
1. He looks good with facial hair.
2. He shops for groceries without an bodyguard.
3. He can walk! Very sexy!
4. He will not giving interviews to strangers on the street.
5. He is dressed like someone who isn´t really interested in fashion.
6. He doesn´t freak out when someone bothers him on the street.
I like him very much and wish, he would win every effing award for his work! Good luck, Mr. Hall!
Yo dude that show is not struggling. He is sooooooooooo hot.
He may be lesser known by people, who know everything about Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan or Brad Pitt, but he sure is known by those people who chose him to be a Golden Globe nominee. And those, who watch his work in "Six feet under" and "Dexter" (and there are a lot!) love him for his acting and not for his self promoting.
great!!
i love him
I love this man.
he is really really actor.
here is south korea
korean fans love him so much.
remember us please ^^
He seems so down-to-earth...nice guy. And a cutie too ;-)
Sour grapes much, X17? That "struggling" series almost doubled its viewership. Just let the guy run some errands without snarking on him. Go Michael!
Wow. Didn't expcet to find this on the net. And as everyone else has said on here.. That show is NOT struggling.
Poor guy...just trying to get things done and there's someone with a camera in his face. Although, I DO have to say thank you for doing this.. now we know what he looks like on an every day bases. And Im sure we all wish we could meet him face to face.
I Truly Love you Dexter.. marry me.. i want you
I would not have recognized him - he looks totally different when he´s private. Amazing, David Fisher and Dexter are also totally different. He´s slipping into his characters like a wizard.
LMAO!!! Struggling? The show kicks ass and has great reviews.
What are you smoking? Dexter is one of the most raved about new TV shows.

hhahahaha for a lesser actor? It kind of seems like a dissent point of view if you were to ask me or anyone who has followed his career. By far in virtue I don't think most grow to his potential. Example being Dexter or David from 6 feet under no man go do or express the expression he has allowed us to view. Maybe it was more so on the fact he values his work and progress enough to turn down something that lacks simplicity but yet overall gives us something to drool over.
Dexter struggling I think NOT.That is an awesome show and we (my husband and I) can`t wait for season two this year.
Average Joe-Ginger Man, with an acting career. Woo-Hoo! But he didn't get his medal. Oh well, next time. BTW, facial hair is just a preview of pubic hair down there. So now we know, truly a gingerman ;) Good Luck stalkers!
This guy is so unique , i love the way he moves his eyebrows , the way he walks ... the way he talks , he's so hot ... i can't wait for season two , i need to see him every weekend , i just love him and love the show
love you dexter. just cannot wait to see series 2.he is soooo sexy dexy!
Read the books! Interesting deviation in story lines. Dexter is one of the most interesting characters of this decade. A psychological thriller and challenge. I am eagerly looking forward to Series 2! Michael C. Hall has the character perfected and deserved a Golden Globe!
As far as this video ambush goes - he was more polite to you than most celebs of his caliber would have been.
He hasn't disappointed me at all!

HOT HOT HOT no matter the venue!! An actor with the depth and breadth not seen in decades!!! I was rivited to each episode of "Six Feet Under" BUT the last episode of "Dexter" left me craving for more of Michael C. Hall. No actor has had such an impact and impression upon me in the last 30 years....once again...WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!

Is there some way of monitoring this website? I am sick of all the viagra and
"enlargement" postings.
I want to only hear about my favorite actor, Michael C. Hall. I agree with the other person who said she hadn't seen the likes of his talent in 30 years. The first time I saw him in 6FT Under, I was awed by his talent.
