Cirque du Soleil plans to recreate Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Sin City.
The Mandalay Bay hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip plans to open an entertainment complex that would include a Jackson-themed lounge, a memorabilia museum and a theater replicating Jackson's ranch.
Plans for the complex, which is set to open in 2013, are part of the relationship between Cirque du Soleil and the pop star's estate.
The troupe starts an homage to Jackson in October: "Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour" will open in Montreal and hit 30 cities including New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Concept art for the complex included a tree symbolic of an oak that grew outside Jackson's Neverland bedroom. The singer nicknamed the oak the Giving Tree and sometimes slept and wrote music in a perch on the tree.
Just like Jackson, the show is extravagant: It will be the most expensive show in the company's history. See how much it's costing after the jump!
"Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour" the most expensive show in the French company's history at $57 million.
Jackson's estate and Cirque will each own 50 percent of both projects and share equally in the cost of the productions.
