Michael Jackson Had 'Faint Pulse' When Paramedics Arrived
Posted on Mon Jun 29, 2009 09:15 AM PDT
Michael Jackson was warm to the touch and had a faint pulse when paramedics arrived at his Holmby Hills mansion, according to documents offered to X17online.
Although he had stopped breathing, Jackson's heart was still beating when a private physician began efforts to resuscitate the pop star.
"He just happened to find him in his bed, and he wasn't breathing," an attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray told the Associated Press. "Mr. Jackson was still warm and had a pulse."
The attorney also denied that his client prescribed or administered Demerol or Oxycontin to Jackson.
Paramedics were called to Jackson's mansion while the doctor performed CPR. In total, more than two hours was spent trying to save the singer.
Jackson was pronounced dead after being transported to UCLA Medical Center.
Do you think anything else could have be done to save Michael?

Something is not right about this. If you saw someone not breathing--why wouldn't you call 911 IMMEDIATLY?!! Instead he starts doing chest compressions--on a bed, with one hand--while there is faint pulse?!Then after 25 min he has the chef call 911--BULLSH*T
Why get a criminal attorney if your not guilty??? Not that MJ's death was a big surprise like the media is protraying--but something else was def up!
9:38,
Pipe down. The doctor was trying to save his life. Michael Jackson is the one to blame for his death. I have three words for you:
Prescription drug overdose. He did it to himself.
9:48..."he did it to himself"---REALLY??!!
the doctor that PRESCRIBED these meds had no involvment?????
Can you say Anna Nicole???
Someone gave him the meds--why wouldnt a ethical doctor say no??
10:00.......
He was addicted to prescription drugs......no one made him take them......he should have gotten help.....you're trying to point fingers to take blame away from your hero.....it was ultimately his own decisions that caused his death.
10:14 He was a prescription drug addict and child molester. However, I hope the doctor was asked hard questions about the sequence of events inside the house.
Ummm, if he has a pulse you don't do CPR, you do rescue breathing only (if he's apnic). I know, it's a big word for you Mouthbreathers.
Sounds like the docs lawyer is talking too much about his pending manslaughter charge.
10:14 he wasnt my hero--he was a pedophile--he was also a drug addict but the doctor is ALSO RESPONSIBLE---MJ can't prescribe his own meds...get a clue..will you
Wow. When I left the USA and moved to Ireland three years ago, someone found not guilty was deemed to be innocent. And here's a question for you self righteous know it alls: No one was more tek-y than Michael Jackson. Why was there never a single bit of electronic evidence found, despite the massive searches done? Even the stupid Court TV reporters who were so quick to crucify and destroy him are saying 'WTF', so your opinion is like that of so many others in the world today, created in a vacuum where there is no possibility of rationalization or coherent thought. Review the evidence before you voice an opinion or you're just another moron. Go dance on someone else's grave; someday we will dance on yours.....
This doctor that was with him was a quack -in everything he did. Why would a doctor being "pumping" him (doing chest compressions) if Michael had a pulse? Why would he be doing chest compressions with Michael on a bed? He put his hand behind him? Anyone who has done CPR knows how much it takes out of the person performing the CPR, why would he keep him on the bed and put his hand behind him knowing how much more energy this would take. This doctor was a moron. It's all said and done and I'm sure all the right questions are being asked. I hope this doctor gets more then his "prescription license pulled" for this. Have to wonder if he did inject the shot they give people who have had a heart attack in to Michael as well- as a cardiologist I'm sure he had access to that drug as well. This doctor needs to fry, I don't need to see or hear the autopsy reports- every step he took to try to save Michael was wrong - even to the point where he didn't call 911 a security guy did.
it was his fault!! he freakin took like 40 pain killers a day!! They should sew the @$$e$ off the guy who gave him so many drugs
I also question the chest compressions if MJ had a pulse. I believe you would first do rescue breathing and you would certainly have someone (or yourself) call 911 IMMEDIATELY
First of all for being a cardiovascular specialist..far above a general practioner..he should know how to perform C.P.R. Anyone who has ever trained in C.P.R. knows the first thing they tell you is to lay them on a hard flat surface a.k.a. the "floor." This kills me because if Michael did have a pulse this guy did everything he could to screw Michael out of his life. It had to be intentional, how else can it be explained. (unless the doc does drugs) What else could it be?! No doctore general or specialist even an anestesiologists KNOWS how to perform C.P.R. plus in health care we are to recertify every 6 months, year, 2yrs, 3yrs, 5yrs whatever case may be where you work. You mean this doc didn't have a cell phone? Not to mention it was said on the news a few days ago that the doc ran to the kitchen and told the chef, the chef! Then the doc ran and got security. So that must mean the "Chef" ran to help Michael. Now what doctor of any practice leaves a chef in charge and runs for help. The first thing your taught in a first-aid or C.P.R. class is to leave the patient and run for help if it's not more than an hour away (remember the golden hour rule) or you begin C.P.R. and remain with the patient. Once you begin you cannot stop or leave the patient unattended or you're liable for Abandonment. The Good Samaritan Act protects someone who is not highly trained but once you start you are to remain with the patient until someone of equal or better status comes along. He ran for security what did he hide along the way? Is anyone asking what route he took, searched the entire area? He may have lied about the route.
But he had a pulse so he was unconcious and in respiratory failure. He needed oxygen. I heard reports of the same doctor sneaking out a side door many times carrying o2 tanks to his car. So he didn't have any o2 this particular day? There are just so many shady things going on here. Too many to mention. He deserves to rot in hell along with the pharmacists, companies, other doctors, agencies anyone who provided this junk to Micahel who should never have been allowed access to it in the first place. Even family members are saying they knew and tried to stop him. If it was me I don't care if you disown me you're not going to do drugs or die on my watch. I don't care if you never speak to me again. I couldn't live with that on my conscience. I couldn't bear to sit back and watch Michael die. There would have to be something wrong with me to allow that to happen. So many people washing their hands, cleaning their plates and singing like canarys all so they don't go down with the ship. Well guess what I hope God brings everything hidden in darkness out into the light and all involved pay the highest price possible. How many more people have to die before someone takes action. That pharmacy should have reported his unpaid high expense account. That would have started an investigation and Michael may still be here today. I can't believe this what are people thinking these days. It's NEVER ok to abuse medicine, Rx or OTC. Or any drugs for that matter. C'mon America, WAKE-UP!!
