Michael Jackson Tribute Concert Announced
Posted on Tue Jul 26, 2011 09:55 AM PDT
The Jacksons are honoring superstar Michael Jackson with a star-studded tribute concert on October 8 in Cardiff, Wales.
At a Beverly Hills press conference to announce the event, Katherine Jackson told the crowd:
- "When I was told some of the names of the artists performing, I knew it would be fit for a king. If my son was here today he would feel the same way, and so I'd like to say thank you very much for helping to keep my son's legacy alive."
The King of Pop died back in June 2009 of a heart attack believed to be caused by an overdose of Propofol.
The tribute show, being held at the Millennium Stadium, will be four hours long. As for the A-list performers, names have not been announced.

Jermaine and Randy are reportedly not supporting the concert due to Conrad Murray's trial taking place at the same time. Murray is being charged with the death of Michael Jackson.
