Paris Jackson's Paranoia Over Her Hair

Over the weekend, 11-year-old Paris Jackson got a haircut at Amp salon at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and while that seems totally normal, what did with her shorn locks was anything but!
According to The Daily Mail, every strand was swept up, placed into plastic bags and handed to her guardian! Of course, the wacko move was likely planned as a precaution against potential thieves, who could use the hair sample to carry out DNA tests.
A local TV reporter sitting in chair next to Paris overheard security being told to collect every last strand of her hair, and she responded, "Can you imagine the value of Paris's hair? DNA - the truth, finally." But at this point, wouldn't the truth help matters? Or is it none of our business?

Unless they weer cutting her hair below the root, in other words plucking it out, there would be no way to complete DNA testing on it. You have to have the root ball for DNA testing.
Why not do it at home if you are so worried about it. I'm sure Paris has grown up with all sorts of (to us) crazy routines. The kids wore masks in public for years, I couldn't imagine the adjustment these kids are going through.

Well they're right to take precautions. Seems like it was a smart move and that they're thinking ahead.
My 7 year old got a haircut yesterday. He has very long hair and got alot cut off. He saved it in a ziplock bag to, does that make me a crazy paranoid???

The nerve root of a hair has to be preserved- or there is no way to get DNA info. I doubt they pulled her hair out from the roots. Adults should not be making her paranoid about wrong-information.
there's no DNA in a hair itself, they need the root, the skin around the root is full of DNA

It's most likely not for DNA but to prevent people from selling it. When Britney shaved her head the stylist sold or tried to her hair.
