X17 XCLUSIVE - Source Says "Possible Drug Overdose" For Michael Jackson
Posted on Thu Jun 25, 2009 04:30 PM PDT

As you know, Michael Jackson passed away at the age of 50 today. The pop icon suffered cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon, and when paramedics arrived at his Beverly Hills home, he wasn't breathing and they were unable to revive him. Jackson was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center, and shortly after he arrived at 1:10pm, he was pronounced dead.
A source inside the hospital tells X17online exclusively:
- "Michael was non-responsive when he arrived in the emergency room. They didn't call a time of death until he was here. They tried to revive him, then said he was dead.
A few different people were with him but they were all giving conflicting information. The sense of a possible drug overdose is lingering. They're sending him in for an autopsy."
Additionally, the LA Times reports that even the authorities have their doubts:
- The circumstances of Jackson's death remain unclear. Law enforcement sources said that Los Angeles Police Department robbery-homicide detectives have opened an investigation into the death, though they stressed there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing. The detectives plan to interview relatives, friends and Jackson's doctors to try to figure out what happened. The L.A. County coroner's office will determine a cause of death.
What do you think happened to the King of Pop?
