Michael Lohan is back in the spotlight and seems to be loving every second of it!

Lindsay's dad, who is expecting a baby with on-again-off-again-on-again girlfriend Kate Major, hit up Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood ... and surrounded by his entourage, he faced a swarm of photographers and a bunch of questions about not using a rubber. Um, yeah.

Papa Lohan wasn't in the mood to comment on his baby mama nor Lindsay's alleged comments that he "should've kept his pants on."

Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael recently chatted with Celebrity VIP Lounge, and he claims the 25-year-old starlet's acting is suffering due to her prescription drug use.

Lohan told the site, “I have to say this…on SNL, Lindsay was not using any illicit drugs or drinking but she still is on prescription drugs that they gave her. And the meds that they give her are meds that they say she needs, but she doesn’t need them. But they kind of make her flat. She’s not acting at a full potential. It’s like the screen is down over her.”

Lohan added, “And now when she did Glee I said, ‘Linds, get off the damn medication and let people see who you really are.’ And for a couple days before Glee, she went off this stuff. And there were tears in my eyes when I watched Glee. THAT was Lindsay. Yeah that was her acting. That is Lindsay Lohan at the Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls potential. That is what she was.”

Michael would not specify which drugs his daughter has been taking, but court documents in 2010 revealed that she was prescribed antidepressants Zoloft and trazodone, Adderall, Nexium for acid reflux and the super-strength painkiller Dilaudid for her past dental troubles.

Now that Lindsay Lohan's formal probation period has ended, her dad Michael is singing her praises.

"I'm really proud of Lindsay for her diligence, staying sober and focusing on her life and career as well as my daughter Ali for being a stabilizing force in Lindsays life. I only expect the best from here on."

Michael Lohan has been taken from his court-ordered treatment center in Florida to the hospital where he will undergo heart surgery, according to TMZ.

Lindsay's dad has been dealing with chest pains all year, and according to the site, a recent blood pressure test came back 200/110.

Papa Lohan will undergo surgery Friday to have a stent put in his heart.

Doctors hope this will help clear blood clots discovered in one of his lungs.

Back in February, Lohan had heart surgery to clear blockage in an artery of his heart.

Michael Lohan pleaded no contest to domestic violence charges in Florida, and as a result, Lindsay's dad avoided jail time. Papa Lohan was accused of beating ex girlfriend Kate Major back in October.

Lohan, 51, was sent to rehab for four months and was ordered to enter into a domestic violence intervention program in Tampa.

In court, Major, 29, told the judge, "I think he needs help. Keeping him in jail would be hurting him more. It's my birthday today. A year ago, we were worried about Lindsay."

The judge replied, "I'm not sure who that is." Ouch!

After Michael Lohan was told he could have "zero" contact with Major, the judge witnessed Lohan making faces. The judge told Lohan, "It's not Disney World, so stop. How old are you? Don't act like a child."

Michael Lohan has been jailed in Florida for allegedly threatening to throw his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kate Major, 28, off a balcony.

Lindsay Lohan's dad, 51, was arrested Tuesday on domestic battery charges.

In the police report, Major told police that she and Lohan have lived together for the past two years ... on and off.

She went on to say that she allowed Lohan to stay over at her place when he arrived at the door Sunday night.

Kate, who claims Michael became violent after she refused to give him oral sex, added that Lindsay's dad threw the remote at her.

She added in the police report that she was suffering from shoulder pain and minor bruising.

Michael Lohan has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.

Michael Lohan is not shying away from questions involving his daughter Lindsay's sobriety.

Papa Lohan tells X17online exclusively:

"Lindsay has a severe drug problem. If it wasn't for the wrong people, doctors and rehab, she would be back on top. She needs a real rehab that keeps you in for a year and detoxes their patients of every drug, illicit or prescribed."

Michael believes with his help, Lindsay's life can be put back on track. He says:

"If the judge orders her in for a year and Lindsay listens to me, I will turn this all around for her. I'll do my best to convince the judge, probation and prosecutors to finally put an end to this madness and give her life back. The enablers and parasites around her better leave now ... that includes Patrick [Aufdenkamp], Eleanor [Lindsay's assistant] and Vikram [Chatwal]."

In a recent interview with HLN, Michael addressed Lindsay's yellow teeth. He told host Jane Valez-Mitchell, “The [issue with her teeth], that's from smoking a pipe with meth or crack. She’s smoking either crack or meth, one or the other. I’m not going to shade it.”

Lindsay Lohan is due in court tomorrow morning for a progress hearing, and her dad Michael says he hopes Judge Stephanie Sautner puts his daughter back in rehab.

Papa Lohan tells X17online exclusively:

"I think the two things Lindsay needs are long term rehab and to be taken off all medications. Her mother also needs to stop putting her and our other children in the middle. Dina holds the key. The same key she used to lock me out of our children's lives. Unfortunately, she has allowed some very destructive people in."

Judge Sautner will decide whether Lilo has failed to keep up with her court-mandated community service program. Linds reportedly spent only 21 hours at the Downtown Women's Center instead of the required 360 hours.

Lindsay's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, has not returned our request for comment.
