This man is an abusive "father". If he was concerned about Ali's welfare the matter coul've been handled discreetly in the interest of his minor child-but that is not his concern is it; ensuring that he gets paid from the gossipsites is. The sad thing is that folks are enabling his abusive behaviour out of pure malice because they just want to see Linds taken down.
No concern is expressed about how his destructive behaviour is hurting ALL his children. DL should have been on the first flight out to LA to join with Linds in getting a restraining order against him.

I hate to comment about someone's family troubles in public but this whole situation is getting pretty out of control. Lindsay Lohan really has her plate full and so does this entire family (we all have some problems in one form or another too). She has some stuff to work through and some anger about her father's behavior in the past. Because she was a child star she may have never had time to really deal with issues that are there when there's a bad family situation, drug use by a parent, incarceration and divorce. Those are all super tough issues for anyone. It's catching up with her now because she isn't able to just absorb into work and this is a common age for past stuff to come up when a child of divorced parents doesn't work through it early on. I am sure she loves her sister but she also needs to understand that no matter what has happened in the past, internalizing that anger and venting to her younger sister will pass on the problem, perhaps inadvertentaly, but still no less harmful. I'm not an expert but can relate on every level personally. I don't have a "solution" but I would offer a suggestion to her: going home to the family and taking a breather from all this and LA life is a good place to start. Getting away from distractions and drawing closer to her family life is a good way to keep people who aren't necessary right now out for a time and sort of get back to basics for a moment. I don't know her or her family but I wish her and them, or any family with similar problems the best. Even if she is "fine", as she has stated afew times, staying clear of clubbing and perhaps even friends for right now is a way to focus on what everyone needs to do to make things work, whatever that may prove to be in time. Sometimes a person really just needs that time away from others and with family to get collected after something like this. This is a tough world and one's family is their armour. She can choose to be the anchor of her family right now or allow herself and her family to remain emotionally embroiled in an on-going fued that has the potential to ruin them all.
