TV Guide reports that former O.C. star Mischa Barton was offered the role of "reformed party girl" Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl - but the actress' rep tells Us that while she was approached, "she will not be on the show."
WHAT! Bad move, Mischa. Return to your nighttime soap opera roots! Unless you really, ya know, wanna keep making spectacularly amazing movies?
Serena and Blair of Gossip Girl are basically the new Marissa and Summer (from The O.C.) anyway - why wouldn't you wanna be a part of that?
Let's hope this was a wise career move!
