Mischa Barton "Making Improvements," Still In The Psych Ward
Posted on Wed Jul 22, 2009 08:10 AM PDT
Though Mischa Barton remains in the psych ward at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, her rep has told Access Hollywood that the troubled starlet is "still seeking treatment but making improvements" and she plans to return to work soon.
Spokesman Craig Schneider would not elaborate on Barton’s current condition, but he said yesterday that the actress planned to report to work on her CW show The Beautiful Life later this month. Barton stars as a pill-popping supermodel on the new series (hmm, method acting anyone?), and a rep for the show has revealed that production is scheduled to begin on July 31, but it looks like they've already begun preparations to write Mischa's character out if her situation doesn't improve.
Hopefully Ms. Barton will get her messy life back together, because we'd love to see her return to the small screen on The Beautiful Life!
I mean, the show isn't exactly Dexter or Mad Men, but Mischa as a pill-popping model? YES PLEASE!

Unless she goes and get some in-depth inpatient treatment she will never get better. She may seem ok for awhile but without proper treatment she is most likely to relapse.
Unless you're a celebrity, Cedars is a dreadful hospital.
Its too bad. This show was likely her last chance at still having a showbiz career.
Please, long term treatment, lol, what she is recieving is medically right on, hospitalized during acute crises, placed on medication, and wait for either the pathology to decrease, if not move to a facility to continue with providing support. Mental illness is a life long diagnosis, with 80 -90 % of those with substance abuse problems having a pathological condition . She will always be at risk for another episode, but at least now, it has been acknowledged, as I am sure she has been demonstrating symptoms for a while now. I hope her hollywood friends support her, and wish her only the best life has to offer, she deserves to have some peace.
