Mischa Barton Will Avoid Jail Time for DUI

Mischa Barton will accept a plea deal in her DUI case, according to a People.com source.
The report says Mischa will plead no contest to DUI on Thursday in connection to her December 27 arrest. She'll also be sentenced to a three-month alcohol-education class and will pay a fine of approximately $1700. Her marijuana possession charge will be dropped, according the People, and her driving without a license charge will be reduced to an infraction.
Drinking and driving doesn't pay, people!

Sigh . . why am I not surprised . . . No ordinary citizen would receive this kind of special treatment.
Just goes to show you that there are 2 types of laws - one for those that are famous and have money, and laws for the rest of us.

You sure you don't mean 3 days of education? I work for a DUI program and 2-3 days tends to be the standard sentence... never heard of 3 months!
Why the heck would they drop the MJ charge? This country, especially CA, has become way too laxadasical on their view of the pot. I don't care if everyone does it or not, it's illegal and our laws should follow their own rules! If a kid disobeys a parent, they get punished, not the parent changes the rules and lets them go!
