Your comments remind me of perez hilton's comments on the day that michael jackson died where he said that all of the drama that day was a publicity stunt until he found out that michael had died. Then he deleted his comments about it being all about michael trying to get publicity. Mischa has a younger sister who probably picked up her drug and alcohol habits from mischa. Her sister is three years younger than her and she has already attempted suicide three times in the last six months. I guess that this was the only move since people must have thought that mischa was going to attempt to kill herself next. I wonder if perez hilton's 24/7 personal attacks on her took their toll and in some way drove her to this? There was actually a book written about this years ago that i can not remember the title of where the author talked about how hard it is in the industry for girls who have to withstand personal attack after personal attack from the media. It eventually takes it's toll on someone and they then develop an addiction to drugs and alcohol before they eventually commit suicide.

People need to stop laying all of the blame on the media and other factors for what's happening with Mischa. It might be part of the problem, but there's such a thing as free will. Mischa chose to take drugs and alcohol and this is where she is right now. There are other performers who deal with the same pressure that she does and maybe even more but they choose not to mask their problems with booze and drugs. It's called free will. It's her problem and she is the one who will solve it.

I hope Mischa receives the medical help she needs and the experience makes her a stronger young woman.

I don't know if she's depressed but I think that she is very tired...and being tired from stress can lead to a breakdown...speaking from personal experience.

Whoever said she was too good for the OC, she didn't quit, they wrote her off the show which was the stupidest thing they did... hence the next seasons disastrous storylines and the show's ultimate end.

No it is not free will to be mentally ill as 80 to 90% of substance abusers have a clinical mental illness. This poor woman is ill, and it is not a joke nor should it be media fodder, and I truly hope her "hollywood" friends are at her side, as she will need support. I hope she gets better fast, God Bless..

For one I have never used drugs...mental illness can be caused by using drugs but I for one don't and never use drugs...Mischa on the other hand might have I don't know but being placed on a 5150 is serious business...she like Britney Spears probably used drugs...I would not be surprised...this to me is shocking and scary at the same time...I hope that she gets better...Britney got help and she doing well now...People tend to think that if your mentally ill that you at some point used drugs...NO...that is not always the case it could be from stress...it's not always because of drugs because when I got sick alot of people thought it was from using a drug or that I had an STD or something so dumb and it really hurt my feelings because people don't understand mental illness...I think that everyone needs to learn more about it.

Hopefully she can turn her life around, like Britney has. I think Britney's was more of a media frenzy, but still she can turn it around if she tries. Britney is doing very well. Best wishes to her on her recovery.
