Angelina Jolie And Johnny Depp's The Tourist: Box Office Failure?

Mr. and Mrs. Smith raked in $50 million because Brad and Angelina were rumored to have had an affair during filming. A big chunk of the box office came from the curiosity seekers.

Before then Jolie had trouble opening films. Beyond Borders, Original Sin, Pushing Tin, Taking Lives and Tomb Raider 2 all flopped. Since then she had a hit with Wanted and Salt, but flopped with Mighty Heart, the Good Shepard and had some very moderate success with The Changeling. I think people have just gotten tired of her one note action films and have never warmed up to her Oscar bait roles. Like Jennifer Aniston, most of Jolie's fame comes from the tabloids.

As for Depp, he always bombs when he plays a normal guy. He can really only do different variations of Beetlejuice. Mainly kiddie pix. Too bad, because I think he's pretty talented. I wish he'd do more Donnie Brascoe type roles. As for Jolie, I wish she'd retire like she promised five years ago. So sick of her at this point.

EPIC FAIL for St. Angie Ho

i was stupid enough to see it. angie is an anorexic, robotic skeleton whose one liners fall flat. the dialog is terrible, her "posing" is terrible. johnny does a good job of playing the bumbling math teacher, which doesn't fit the twist ending. an all around bad movie.

The Tourist had a smaller per screen average than The Switch. LOL!!! Won't even compare it to The Bounty Hunter because that film is a massive hit compared to this. And BH only cost $60 million to produce compared to $140 million for The Tourist.

People are tired of Jolie because they see her phony image right through. They can see she is using those orphans she adopted for her celebrity status, image and "brand".

The way she raises those children concerns people. Too many kids and too little individual attention from parents. The kids don't get to stay in one place, go to one school and make friends for long term. There is no stability. Their only friends are security guards and nannies.

This is the only Depp movie I won't see, and it's because she's in it. He's made some very poor choices on the dramas he's chosen. It's not so much the movies themselves, as it is the other actors, & crew(directing) he's working with, that cause the problems.

When the movieshoots begun to come out and I saw AJ covered i clothes I just knew it´s because she so skinny they have to hide it.

I hope this is the beginning of the end of her overratedness. That's what happens when Jolie-ho is trying to manipulate the media singlehandedly in anticipation of co-starring with another hearthrob actor given her background of homewrecking..Jolie was so distracted to appear uninterrested in Depp that online chemistry failed miserably and all else will follow..serves her right..she could fool some of the the people some of the time but she cannot fool all the ppl all the time!

With the sex scenes cut from it and Johnny getting the lecture from the girlfriend probably didn't help things. This could have pulled off if he had made it with anybody but her. He was probably getting so much sh*t at home that he was a wreck by the time he got to the movie set. It's still a mystery to me how men get sucked in to this chick's web but they do. This too shall pass.

She is so skinny they had to cover her ugly arms, she worn a butt pad and stocking to cover her veiny legs, she was also too skinny in wanted and salt. Who wants to see that on screen besides her bad acting. I wish she would just go away to france and stay there.

I am not really a big fan, but in interviews she comes across really smart and funny , interesting Somwonw very pleasant to be around.. She has a great life. I dont think a few people not liking her work will bother her too much. Smile and be Happy .

Johnny Depp is a one note actor. He can only play funny or cartoonish characters. He doesn't do well when he acts serious. I hate him in Public Enemy.

I liked her in "Changeling" and she IS SO very good & beautiful. Donnie Brascoe was convincing and I really enjoyed the movie, in spite of the vicious bloody scenes. I like "Alice in Wonderland", noone can dance like Johnny Depp...lol...
