Footloose Finds A New Leading Man

And his name is Kenny Wormald!
After pretty boys Zac Efron and Chace Crawford both dropped out of the Footloose remake - not to mention directors Adam Shankman and Kenny Ortega - the troubled production is back on...
Paramount Pictures announced today that 25-year-old Kenny Wormald (best known from the MTV series Dancelife) will play the lead opposite Julianna Hough, and Craig Brewer will direct. The movie's set release date is April 1, 2011.
Crewer's last flick was the controversial, yet under-appreciated Black Snake Moan - is this guy really the best choice for director?
And we still think Wormald isn't as cute as Efron or Crawford!
Guess we'll see!

Some movies should never be remade, this is one of them. Just another indication that the think tank in Hollywood has dried up.
