The Trailer For The Hobbit Finally Hits The Web

The trailer for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has been released, and Lord of the Rings fans will be delighted to see Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly and Martin Freeman back on the big screen.

The flick is the first of three planned prequels in the LOTR series, and it follows Bilbo Baggins as he journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.

The movie hits theaters on December 14, 2012 ... just in time for the holidays!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Being Split Into Two Films

Lionsgate has announced that the final film in The Hunger Games series will be split in two with release dates virtually a year apart from each other.

Part 1 of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will hit theaters on November 21, 2014 while Part 2 is slated for a November 20, 2015 release date.

The move is similar to what the Twilight franchise did where they split Breaking Dawn into two parts.

The Hunger Games became one of the year's biggest blockbusters, grossing $404.4 million domestically and $678.2 million worldwide.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, opens on Nov. 22, 2013.

The final installment of the Twilight series looks killer ... literally!

In the newly-released full trailer for Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, Kristen Stewart's character Bella says she will do whatever it takes to protect her daughter, Renesmee.

Should be interesting to see KStew and Rob Pattinson's characters go to battle against Taylor Lautner's Jacob!

The action-packed flick hits theaters this November.

New Trailer For The Dark Knight Rises Focuses On Bane And Batman

A new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has hit the web, and here's a closer look at Bane and Batman battling it out in Gotham City. There are plenty of explosions and fight scenes in the Christopher Nolan-directed thriller, and this new clip shows off some of the spectacular vehicles as well.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20 ... check out the video above for more of the boys and Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman.

Rock Of Ages Opens With A Disappointing $15.1 Million

Despite the hype surrounding Rock of Ages, the big screen adaption of the '80s Broadway rock musical took the number three spot and a paltry $15.1 million at the weekend box office.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted held on to the top spot with $35.5 million, and Prometheus stayed snagged the number two spot with $20.2 million.

Cruise's flick wasn't the only flop this weekend. The Adam Sandler comedy That's My Boy grossed $13 million, which marks the actor's worst opening for a comedy in eight years. Yikes!

The trailer for Django Unchained has hit the web, and this is our first peek at Quentin Tarantino's latest masterpiece. The western/action flick is about a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) who teams up with a slave (Jamie Foxx) in order to find the plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio) who kidnapped his wife (Kerry Washington). Whew!

From the all star cast to the action-packed plot, we can't WAIT to see this one when it hits the big screen on Christmas Day.

In The Bourne Legacy, Renner stars as special agent Aaron Cross, and he's up against more than just fellow assassins and burning buildings in the action-packed plot. Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton co-star in the flick, which hits theaters on August 3.

Anne Hathaway Shines In Newly Released Les Miserables Trailer

The trailer for the upcoming film Les Miserables was just released, and upon first glance it looks like it's going to be a box office smash!

Anne Hathaway, who has undergone a massive weight loss and transformation for her role, delivers a chilling performance as the film's ill-fated Fantine, and is bound to wow audiences with her vocal skills in the opening act "I Dreamed a Dream."

Based on the 1862 Victor Hugo novel, the movie has been in the discussion stages since the 1980s but is finally coming to fruition by Universal Pictures and is set to be released Dec. 14. Directed by Oscar winner Tom Hooper, the film also stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Colm Wilkinson.

Is there another Oscar nomination heading Miss Hathaway's way? We think so!
