Paranormal Activity Finally Tops The Box Office!

The nail-biter has been out in theaters since late September and only now is it #1!
Paranormal Activity is the scariest suspense film I've seen in a while and I'm sooooo glad it beat out Saw VI (which took in $14.8 mil) for the top spot. PA, on the other hand, won the weekend with $22 mil... bringing its overall total to $62.5 million.
And to think, the movie only cost $15,000 to make! How hot is that? Go see it if you haven't!

this movie is NOT SCARY. Gosh are the producers paying people to say it is? I only jumped once and that was at the end of the film. I too bought into the hype that it was gonna be the scariest movie in a decade and it so wasn't.
This movie is stupid, save your money!
OMG, i saw it knowing absolutely nothing about it and I was scared sh*tless for 2 hours! and so was everyone in the theater!
How do people think this is scary? This is right up there with Blair Witch. It's terrible!
I guess to each there own, but to me, I think people have become spoiled with special effects, music scores, blood/gore, etc. that it has decensatized a lot of the younger generation. I am 32yrs old & I grew up watching the classic horror flicks like Poltergiest, Amittyville Horror, Carrie, The Exorcist, etc. THESE movies were great & didn't have a lot of gore. Just great story telling! And that's what Paranormal Activity was to me. The scariest thing is your own imagination. And the movie kind of left it up to you to decide, 'What's making that noise in the dark?' I don't know about you, but I can come up with some scary stuff!
The movie itself isnt really all that scary. But for me, when I got home that night and started thinking about certain scenes, I couldnt sleep and I was hearing things. It was just unsettling..lol

I heard it was as shitty as the Blair Witch Project. Ill pass.
Saw it last night and as I'm easily scared I made sure that when it began would be ready to cover my eyes - never had to once; great marketing campaign however.
