Tron: Legacy Earns Unspectacular $43.6 Million Its Opening Weekend
Posted on Sun Dec 19, 2010 09:32 AM PDT

Yes, the much-anticipated sequel did come in at number one, but Tron: Legacy unfortunately didn't rake in as many millions as expected...
The sequel to 1982's Tron earned $43.6 this weekend - congrats! - but the film also cost an estimated $300,000,000 to make.
That being said, the state of the art visual effects and Daft Punk's score made it worth watching in our opinion!
Yogi Bear came in second with $16.7 million and Reese Witherspoon's How Do You Know barely cracked the top ten with just $7.6 mil.
Sorry, Reese! Maybe Water for Elephants will do better?
Ah well.

Wait a minute. When The Tourist made $17 million all of the headlines was bomb. Reese's film doesn't make $8 million and cost $20 million MORE than The Tourist and it barely makes a blurb? This is so hypocritical.
Reese crapped all over Sony's 120 million dollar movie. She used to be a dreaw until she started doing anti-american movies.
the weekeed ant over yet shit heads
Excuse me Amy, but WTF. The fact that Reese bombed is all over the news. Jolie and Johnny Depp are supposed to be the two biggest stars in the world so the fact that their film tanked so hard was even bigger news, yes. That's what happens when you tout yourself as this HUGE star and then you fail. No one has ever marketed Witherspoon as the biggest star in the world.
And btw, Jolie was EVERYWHERE promoting that piece of garbage so how ironic that it's now going to make half of what Jen Aniston pulled in with The Bounty Hunter, a film that cost 1/3 of what it cost to make The Tourist. LOL.
If we go by your argument, maybe Aniston fans should be asking the same question you asked, because unlike Jolie or Witherspoon, Aniston has never lost $100 million at the box office. The Bounty Hunter and yes, even The Switch both made their money back.
Ahhh Shuuut uppp, eh!!! Yogi Bear is smarter than the average bear. Just watch Yogi Bear pass all those poopy movies you idiots are arguing about..
