Katherine Heigl Picks Up Reese Witherspoon's Abandoned Project
After Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon dropped the film One for the Money a few years ago, Katherine Heigl has snatched it up and the project is now being fast tracked by Columbia Pictures and Lakeshore Entertainment. The Grey's Anatomy star will play Stephanie Plum, an unemployed lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter in order to pay her bills.
24 Coming To The Big Screen
Fox is reportedly bringing their hit show 24 to the big screen, in what is being labeled as “a two-hour representation of a day," according to Variety.
Kiefer Sutherland is the one said to be pushing for a film adaptation, as the recent dip in ratings have made it apparent that the current season will likely be one of the show's last.
Steven Soderbergh Snags All Star Cast For Upcoming Film
Steven Soderbergh's next project was supposed to be a biopic about pianist Liberace with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, and Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that he's traded it in for an action thriller called Contagion. Soderbergh will be keeping Damon and adding Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and Jude Law to the film, which focuses on a worst-case scenario involving a lethal virus.
