Wrigley And General Motors Join Taco Bell In Pulling Ads During MTV's Skins

It might be a remake, but it's still causing a fuss in the US!
Taco Bell and General Motors had already suspended their advertising from MTV's scandalous new drama Skins and now, according to the Parents Television Council, Wrigley has joined in pulling ads.
The following is a statement from the PTC:
- "Every single advertiser who sponsored the premiere episode of Skins is not only endorsing, but glorifying teen drug and alcohol abuse, not to mention a plethora of baseless sexual content."
The ages of the show's cast ranges from 15-19. Check out a promo for the second ep above - too hot and heavy?
Other advertisers for Skins: Schick Hydro, H&R Block, L’Oreal, Subway, Foot Locker, Orbit chewing gum and Extra chewing gum.

When is MTV going to stop putting out this kinda trash? MTV used to be good a long time ago. Now they just try and push the worst that society has to offer on our young people.

well maybe they should change the program to HBO guess there will not problems there, any way if you do not want your kids to see it do not let them, any way they are worst things on the web or tv these days, educate your kids and stop blaming other people / tv programs if you fail

Good for these corporations for pulling their adds on this trash. MTV has gone to the dogs, they've strayed so far from where they began and now all the show is stupid shows about over the top, out of control kids. MTV, GET BACK TO YOUR ROOTS.
