Teen Mom Star Amber Portwood Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Amber Portwood, one of the stars of MTV’s Teen Mom, was arrested Monday on felony domestic violence charges and placed on a 24-hour hold after allegedly hitting her daughter's father, 24-year-old Gary Shirley.
Local officials began to launch an investigation in September after seeing Portwood repeatedly hitting Shirley on an episode of Teen Mom. She allegedly attacked Gary Shirley three separate times between August 2009 and July 2010 with some of the violence captured on video.
Miss Portwood has officially been charged with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery. She currently faces three years behind bars and up to $10,000 in fines if convicted on all charges.
Looks like someone won't be returning to Teen Mom next season!

Three years behind bars seems way to harsh. The government needs to get a life and stop feeding on the public.

I think the show is good for teenage girls to watch. I havent seen one that would make me want to get pregant. I hope they take that baby away from her forever
OK,Gary is NO angel...but this girl is dangerous.The CPS should take her daughter from her,if she beats her kid's father that way,i wonder what she can do to Leah in a bad day.This woman is instable and should be kept away from her kid,to Leah's safety.I wouldn't trust my daughter with her...this girl is insane.I watched her in Teen Mom,and this Amber is nuts.Gary is no angel,but at least he's not violent as Amber is.She can't be with Leah,she's dangerous.
