After months and months of waiting, everyone's favorite holiday is just a few days away - that's right, we're talkin' Earth Day! To pay tribute to this momentous annual occasion, we thought we'd post a few pix of some of our favorite treehugging celebrity friends - including a few folks whom you might not expect to catch with their arms around a redwood!
Leo's such a committed environmentalist that he's made it a policy to fly commercial flights instead of on private jets to save fuel and cut down on pollution - so cross your fingers next time you've got a plane trip in your future!
Salma Hayek's always been vocal about saving the world - even before she was bringing another child into it!
Natalie Portman is an avowed earth-lover - and we're all avowed Natalie-lovers!

Why is the rate of planetary warming on MARS the same as for EARTH over the past 50 years?

Why should we believe these same alarmist now?

Comparing Mars to Earth is like comparing apples to oranges. BTW 50 years is too short a span for it to have any significant meaning. Hippies or not, it doesn't hurt to create less waste. But of course, it'll hurt your convenience and you'll have to start thinking about how your actions MAY affect the rest of the world. You probably are too busy instantly gratifying yourself anyways.
Why don't you actually BE a productive member of society...I come on this site once a week and I see you on every post.

Anonymous 8:04 is incorrect. Comparing Mars and Earth's equivalent rising temperatures over the past 50 years IS SIGNIFICANT in that it PROVES that the warming of BOTH planets both are the result of cyclical fluctuations in solar (sun) temperatures.
It is precisely the SAME 50-year period that Al Gore uses in the movie "Inconvenient Truth" to grossly manipulate evidence to fit his pre-determined (and wrong) conclusions.
In summary, temperatures MAY be rising on earth, but there is no CONCLUSIVE scientific evidence that industrial pollution and auto emissions are the proximate cause.
Even tho the above is a perfectly reasonable position, global warming skeptics are confronted with ECO-MCCARTHIEST who attempt to persecute ANYONE that dissents from their NEW RELIGION.
Just keepin' it realer....
