I think if she really did keep part of it that its ok ... I had a miscarriage and kept it as well. That is your baby its hard to imagine just to flush it down the toilet or throw it in the trash. If she is crazy I guess call me crazy too.

Yet another example of a really disturbingly misogynist slant in X17 reporting.This is a perfectly normal thing to do, millions of women, all over the world do it.Especially in cases of miscarriage to help them with the grieving process.Its X17 that has the problem with it.

Well I live in an apt. too but I'd find a special place to bury it. It doesn't have to be a cementary. Any place you find with trees, tranquill, nice, peaceful..mayber even a lake or water surrounding it. I guess they have to keep it in the fridge. Won't it smell funny if it's not kept cold?

Look up placenta on wikipedia...It is very common in some cultures to keep the placenta and bury it...I was going to do that with my firstborn, but later decided against it...

Cindy Crawford did the same thing. She told Jay Leno she kept it in her freezer - not sure why - I can't remember what she told Jay.

x17, you're disgusting and highly insensitive. Why talk about a woman's miscarriage when she's currently pregnant with another baby? I hope your writers never find out, but it's extremely painful to lose your baby...even many years later. Wanting to keep the placenta is perfectly normal. I miscarried and I wanted to keep it, but the doc needed it to find out why I miscarried. I was too distraught afterwards to pursue the matter further...now, I wish I'd asked for the placenta back so I could have buried it.

If there is ANYTHING that I didn't need to ever know as long as I live on earth, that is in the top 5. The one thing that I never needed to SEE in my entire life was here and also involved blood. many women freeze their placenta in out-of-hospital births (birthing centers, at home, etc.). this is in case anything happens to the newborn baby, i.e., the placenta needs to be examined for any reason afterwards.

I am a labor and delivery nurse and everyone needs to do a little research -as early as she miscarried and the fact that one was a tubal pregnancy means that there would not have been any tissue that could even be labeled as definately being the placenta! There is no way the placenta would come out in a solid piece either via d&c or if passed naturally! There will be tissue, but it is not identifiable other than by a pathologist! This guy is full of crap!
