Nicole Richie looked understated and chic in a simple silver Julien Macdonald gown that showed off her new curves in all the right places at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.

The 30-year-old fashion designer, who isn't up for any awards tonight, accessorized her gown with a matching pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, and a House of Harlow clutch from her new line.

Nicole is gearing up to return to reality TV with NBC's upcoming competition show, Fashion Star.

Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie made an appearance at NBC's Winter TCA Tour on Friday in Pasadena, and the ladies chatted about their new competition series, Fashion Star. The starlets (along with designer John Varvatos), will serve as celebrity mentors to promising designers, and supermodel Elle MacPherson will host the show.

Jessica covered up her bulging baby bump in a green Roberto Cavalli number, while Nicole showed off her slim figure in a Chloe dress. Naturally, she wore her own House of Harlow 1960 jewelry, and while she looks picture perfect here, she recently revealed that she's quite challenged when it comes to getting red carpet ready. “I actually don’t know how to put on makeup — at all,” she recently told InStyle. “I have to get it done every time I want to wear makeup. I do not know how to wear it at all. It’s so bad. I don’t even own it. I only own under-eye concealer, Maybelline mascara, and an eyelash curler.”

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Good Charlotte kicked off an exciting New Year's weekend bash at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas last night. Reality star and fashionista, Nicole Richie, NBA legend, Julius "Dr. J" Erving, and gorgeous singer, Brandy, also celebrated the end of the year at the stylish nightclub.

Sorrentino is looking forward to getting some rest in 2012. "My New Year's resolution is to take it easy and relax more," said the Jersey Shore hunk.

But, that resolution would have to wait -- Sorrentino was anything but relaxed as he enjoyed celebrating the end of 2011. The MTV star yelled "Happy New Year" to fans and even threw his jewelry into the crowd.

Good Charlotte performed on the rooftop nightclub of Chateau Gardens. Brothers Joel and Benji Madden, as well as the rest of the band, gave fans an incredible once-in-a-lifetime performance under the Eiffel Tower of Paris Las Vegas as they sang "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," "Dance Floor Anthem" and more.

Nicole looked on and cheered for her man throughout the performance.

What a treat for the tour bus!

After driving the usual tour route, the entire bus was shocked when they had a sudden Richie sighting! But of course, being the big star that she is, Nicole totally ignored the camera-happy fans.

Richie was on her way to meet hubby Joel Madden for a Christmas shopping trip to Maxfield in Beverly Hills, before meeting up with a few friends for lunch.

The fashion designer has declared the holiday season “the most wonderful time of the year” as she recently posted a Twitpic of her darling kids, Harlow, 3, and Sparrow, 2, decorating the family's massive Christmas tree.

Naughty or nice, we're betting the Richie-Madden kids won't be disappointed by Santa's gifts this year!

She's been there so many times, you'd think Nicole Richie would know where to park at her LA gym to avoid getting a ticket, but that wasn't the case on Monday!

The fit fashionista left her workout sesh at the Tracy Anderson Method gym in Studio City in a good mood, wearing her new favorite punk rock jacket while toting one of her many Balenciaga bags, but finding a ticket on her $200,000 Mercedes S-Class definitely put a damper on the day.

The good news? Parking tickets in LA run around $65 bucks, chump change for Mrs. Joel Madden!

The hot mamma of two, who recently celebrated her one year wedding anniversary with hubby Joel Madden, donned an edgy punk rock jacket over her usual workout attire, as she left the gym Thursday afternoon.

In other news, Miss Richie is about to go into business alongside the Kardashians!

Kendall and Kylie Jenner have just landed a massive deal with Pascal Mouawad's Glamhouse, a jewelry company that is also home to Nicole's House of Harlow 1960 line.

In a press release, the girls said, “We love accessories, and it’s amazing that we’re going to have our own line to be able to wear everyday—and for our friends to wear, too!”

Not a day goes by without Nicole Richie hitting the gym. We have to admit, her body is looking fit and fabulous ... SO much different from her Simple Life days.

Harlow and Sparrow's mom, who used one of her many pricey purses as a workout bag, walked out of her Studio City gym holding on tight to her green juice.

So that's her secret to staying so slim. Way to stay dedicated, Nic!
