After DJ AM's Death, Nicole Realizes She Wants To Marry Joel

Though Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have had a steady relationship for years (not to mention two beautiful children), it looks like Nicole may finally be ready to take the next step and seal the deal.
The National Enquirer reports that Nicole was so deeply affected by the death of her ex-fiance DJ AM last month, it's made her realize that she's ready to tie the knot with her longtime beau.
A source told National Enquirer:
- "Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She’s so happy with him and their little family that she didn’t feel the need to change the way things were between them. But when Adam died, she freaked out. She realised life is fragile and short. She doesn’t want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel’s wife."
Another source added that Nicole always wanted a huge wedding with hundreds of guests, but she's had a change of heart, and she wants to keep the ceremony intimate and small.
It doesn't look like these two are in a mad rush to walk down the aisle in the next few months, but we'd love to see Nicole officially become Mrs. Madden!
Think these two will wed before the year is over? A Halloween wedding would be cute...you know Joel would love that!

11:58- very true. Actually in the last eight months alone, there was like 10 stories of them getting married in spring, then summer, then christmas etc. and now this one. They should just give up already and wait for the wedding if it happens.
I hate how people seem to think that getting married is less of a commitment than having children. Children are forever, but marriages end all the time.
Weddings & babies are big business for tabloids - when something real happens - otherwise they make up stories, it's cheap content
They tried to get married a lot of times,but it never happened.They are "trying" to get married since when she was still pregnant of Harlow...or they get married now or they give up forever.They can't manipulate the situation like this forever,they have two kids together,live together.They should know that life and kids aren't jokes,they aren't playing with a dollhouse and dolls.Or they get married or don't,period.

Get your shit together dumbass. the only thing I agree with you is that they do both come from broken homes and they've both been previously engaged which is why I think they both are probably skeptical on getting married when tehy are happy as they are.

I like Nicole. She pull her life together. Good for her, the children and the man she loves.
Joel is an awesome guy. Thank God he came along. Who knows where Nicole would be now??!! He is not a gold digger and he doesn't look dirty. Why is everyone so determined for them to get married anyway. It is just a piece of paper. They love each other and have children together. They are family. They are happy. Leave them alone.
