Mother Nose Best
Posted on Thu Aug 30, 2007 04:10 PM PDT

It's important for an expectant mother like Nicole Richie to keep themselves healthy - but at what cost? Yesterday, we spotted Nicole picking up a prescription which we later discovered to be for Nasonex - a drug which studies have shown can cause birth defects in unborn children! Fortunately for Nicole, the study is quick to point out that defects were most prevalent among mothers in their first trimester (Nicole's roughly five months along), so the diminutive diva should be out of the woods. Hopefully the diminutive diva takes this opportunity to start paying a little more attention to what she puts in her body from now on - according to the study, nursing mothers can pass some of the active ingredients of Nasonex onto their children through their breastmilk!

Or who knows - maybe it was just for Joel?

She was given a prescription which means that Nicole had to talk to a doctor about it. Obviously he felt it was fine for her to take it. I would take a doctor's opinion over X17.
I think her doctors will let her know what is appropriate, jeez
Nicole Nursing??? Yeah, I can picture that.....hahahahahahahahahahaha.
We can only pray she has the same doctor as ANNA NICOLE

The old pillow under the shirt trick, just like Katie did. Nicole bought a baby off the internet he/she will be delivered by FedEx on her "due date."
WHAT ABOUT THAT BRITNEY SINGLE?!! LOOKS LIKE X17 BRITS PERSONAL BITCH IS A LITTLE BEHIND.
WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU OWEN WILSON YOU JUNKIE WHORE!!!!
YA WHAT ABOUT THAT BRITTNEY SINGLE?
TMZ AND PEREZHILTON HAVE A COPY ALREADY
I THOUGHT X17 WOULD HAVE IT, YOU HAVE AN ARMY OF CAMMANDOES ON HER ASS!
x17! IT'S PRESCRIPTION THRU HER DOCTOR!
HE ASSESSED HER RISKS AND MADE THE DECISION TO PRESCRIBE IT TO HER!
SO WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU GET OFF GIVING YOUR (MEDICAL) OPINION ON SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT QUALIFIED TO TALK ABOUT?
**** ASSHOLES ****

losers. I did have an ounce of respect for x17 until now. This is stooping pretty fucking low though. WHO THE FUCK cares honestly....when you are pregnant (and i have been) you get a stuffy nose 2nd and 3rd tri. Its a given...honestly..this poor girl...you can take a shitload of things when you are pregnant and breastfeeding that the package will say "passes through breastmilk" but you know what thats just to cover their ass. GYN's Even prescribe percocet and painkillers after pregnancy if u are b-feeding.......point is...FUCK YOU X17 NASONEX IS FIIIIIIIIINE to take
It is very common to get stuffy noses during pregnancy. I know b/c I had it with all 3 of mine. They recommend just saline nose spray but sometimes that doesn't cut it and you need the heavy duty stuff. Cut her some slack, its all the extra progesterone that causes stuffy nose.
After all she's put her body and her insides through, she should be doing no meds and be going 100% organic! Yikes!!
Maybe she will be like a cat and eat her baby...that way she will gain some weight.

X17 I suggest you remove that because of the H.I.P.P.A. law. (Health Information Privacy Protection Act) and also because no one cares if Nicole has allergies, and many pregnant women use those types of nasal sprays.
Nasonex is a nasal allergy symptom relief. Since it is spread in the nose, it doesn't affect the baby in any way. So a pregnant woman can take this medication without any risk for her baby. It's important to be careful about what you read on pregnancy and medications. Because there are not a lot of studies made on pregnant women, it's important to talk to a doctor before taking any kind of medication, but it doesn't mean that there is nothing that a pregnant woman can take to relieve pain.
I took nasacort during my pregnancy. My Dr. informed me that the medicine might speed up the development of the baby's lungs. Whoop-de-doo. Obviously some man wrote this article.
Nasonex is sprayed into the nose not oral. The possible side effects are for people taking the oral version of the medication.

According to the package insert, nasonex "administered as a nasal spray is virtually undetectable in plasma from adult and pediatric subjects" ...meaning the baby doesn't come into contact with the medication. X17online, please refrain from medical evaluations as you are obviously unqualified to do so.
You're so lame, X17

So lame. She prob. has preg. sinitus. Its very common. Nasonex is typically perscribed. Dont be so quick to judge.

1. First of all, to the 6:05 poster, it is HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) - not HIPPA.
2. Certainly nobody knows if the Nasonex is even for Nicole. People pick up prescriptions for each other all the time.
3. To those who said it goes in the nose as opposed to the mouth and therefore wouldn't affect her the same way...DUH. Do you not know your oral and nasal cavities are connected at the back of your throat (oropharynx)? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it all ends up in the same places.
I don't know why I frustrate myself by reading these idiotic comments. To all of the above: DUH
I think It's all the same person... Nicole..
She has no real friends to spend her time with so she has to read gossip columns and try an defend her skankiness.

MAYBE IS NOT FOR HER!!!
ANYWAY...SHE HAS A DOCTOR.. DON'T YOU THINK!??!?!!?!?
Give her a break...only people who have never had children or have been pregnant make stupid statements like that.
Rhinocort Aqua is the only nasal spary that is pregnancy category B meaning s'safe for pregnant women". Obviously her doc didn;t know that
It's amazing how many people become doctors and experts. By the way, EVERYTHING you put into your body contributes to what passes through your breast milk. Besides that, you don't even know if that Nasonex is for her. If it is, obviously her doctor who knows what is ok and what isn't, gave her the prescription.

may it be a relief to know she will have a c-section so her pussy won't be stretched out.
Is X17 the pregnant nasal police now? And doctors to boot? I don't think I will be coming to this website again.
nicole is a great girl...so dont go trash talkin! you haters!
IF YOUVE EVER BEEN PREGNANT!!!
Then you remeber how congested you can get when your pregnant. I had to take nasonex too at some point. Nasel congestants in pill form are more dangerous. She should be fine. The only other alternative is acupunture.
awwww i'm soo dissaqpointed with this site lately it hurts that its turned bad, keep your trashy britney on the pedistal and keep trashing nicole, keep driving me away,x17 sucks, not as it used to be,i'm slowly becoming a perez fan,tho i despise his guts.lol
oh i forgot to say x17 writer knows more about medications than the docter who prescribed the nose spray to nicole i guess,u suck.

I'm just glad the real hoe bag paris hilton didnt get knocked up which i'm sure she probably did....and got an abortion...anyone nicole may act she's crazy at least she's not skanky with different freaking guy everyday "paris" ...anywho she's going to be a good mom....
Geeezzzeeee....So now the big brains at X17 are trained medical personnel and qualified to second guess doctors who write prescriptions? Surely, the doctor who wrote the prescription is aware Nicole is 5 months pregnant. How does X17 even know the prescription is for Nicole?
Oh, right, X17 deals in gossip and innuendo so there is no need for X17 to know any facts.
