Nicole Richie To Create And Star In ABC Comedy

She's certainly no stranger to television, but we had no idea Nicole Richie wanted to pursue legit acting like this!
Last night Nicole announced on her website that she will star in a new comedy for ABC, and she seems over the moon about it! Nicole posted this message on her official blog:
- "I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.
The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.
Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman’s role should be in this era. I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special (and funny!). We’re still in the very early stages and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!"
Nicole definitely knows how to make us laugh, so does she have what it takes to bring in killer reviews and ratings? Guess we'll find out!

Who is going to play the lead role? Obviously Nicole is out of her league if she thinks it's going to be her.

This is truly the most stupid obnoxious idea in a long long time. How hard up is ABC to do this. Seriously awful and offensive. People are fed up with nepotism and faux celebrity and now they're being handed gift wrapped scripted tv shows. Hopefully it fails quickly and moves on.
