Owen Not Goin' On The Wagon?

Owen Wilson's recent (and much-disputed) near-brush with death was unquestionably serious business - we just wish he'd treat it as such! According to In Touch (as reported in the National Ledger), the actor has elected to forgo a third stint in rehab, claiming that he "doesn't think he really has a problem". Instead, Wilson has opted to retain the services of a professionally sober companion to stay by his side all the time - for the princely sum of $750 a day! (And you thought your job was intense!)
Rehab, "sober companions", whatever - we don't care as long as Owen gets the help he needs!

HE HASN'T GONE AROUND BEGGING FOR PUBLIC AND PAPP ATTENTION LIKE PATHETIC BRITNEY, LINDSAY, HERPES HILTON.
HE LEADS A PRIVATE LIFE AND HAS A REAL PROBLEM.
AT LEAST HE ISN'T CHECKING INTO REHAB AS A PUBLICITY PLOY AND USING ALL ALONG LIKE DESPERATE AND LAUGHABLY PATHETIC BLOHAN.
He obviously knows what rehab has to offer. He's been there. I think it is a good idea for him to try something different. Hopefully he is getting some counseling too.
can anyone truley say that it was an overdoes on recreational drugs, and not perscription. if it was perscription then why would he need rehab. he needs counseling on why he got to the point if felt he needed to end it. if it was recreational then i hope this 24/7 approach works for him. either way get well soon
he has had sober coaches so many times i doubt this time will be any different. i feel bad for him. you usually realize and want to get help when you hit bottom but it doesnt seem like he is there yet...i wonder if jonsie will be his sober coach again!!!!
Totally agree with ingbot and just wondering - Owen Wilson seems pretty intelligent (from interviews I've read and from his screenplays) and he must know that rehab doesn't work for him. He probably has been self-medicating for his depression for years and it's just gotten beyond his control. If he's under the care of a good psychiatrist, he'll have somewhere to turn before taking such drastic measures again. Hopefully, he'll be okay. The whole story is so sad and I can't stop thinking about him.
Whatever it was that you went through, you and ONLY you know the depth of it, contrary to mass speculation. You'll find the right path to take. You have so many gifts. You can make us laugh till we cry, and in your characters, there's this vulnerability, where we find ourselves wanting to hug them and say don't worry, it'll be ok. I think that's why so many people feel like, you're someone they know. You're a friend who is in trouble. Well, we've got our arms around you Owen, it'll be ok. Take care. :)
I hope is does right by himself! he is an amazing actor and i would hate to hear anything bad happened to him. bro's stick together he needs his brother and all of his family. i pray for him. Please do right by your self and everyone close to you that Loves and Cares for you.

Owen, I just want you to know that there are many people who Love you, But only one who really does, he suffered for you, he was mocked for you, he was beaten for you, he was hung on a cross for you, we all look for many thing' s to fill that void, but only one fit's, call on him now, before it's too late.
