How Will Paris Hilton's Recent Arrest Affect Her Career?

Paris Hilton is not your average Hollywood starlet -- she's a global brand who has starred in her own television shows in the US, Britain and the Middle East, and has a line of fragrances, handbags, hair accessories, sunglasses, footwear, watches, sportswear, swimwear and lingerie, not to mention a lucrative contract with Brazilian beer company Devassa.
But how will her recent arrest and charge for felony possession of cocaine affect her various business endeavors?
It's already being reported that Paris may be blackballed from hosting events in Las Vegas, since the Nevada Gaming Control Board closely watches the Vegas clubs. In fact, they recently closed several clubs down for infractions, including illegal drugs being used on the premises.
"A club would never be allowed to book Paris for an appearance right now," a former club executive who booked Paris in the past tells People. "A club would want to book her because of the press it would generate right now, but it would never happen because no one wants to jeopardize gaming licensing or liquor licensing."
Paris, who was paid $125,000 to host her 25th birthday in Vegas, could see a big chunk of her income disappear.
But Paris' fame doesn't just extend to the 50 states. She's widely popular overseas, where drug use can be more tolerated. In fact, she was let go with not even a slap on the wrist after reportedly being caught with pot in South Africa, then Corsica (Paris denied any involvement both times.)
And even if she does get jail time, will she come out even bigger and better than before? After all, Lindsay Lohan was sent to jail for almost two weeks and then rehab for three, and she was just on the cover of Vanity Fair!
