Mary Winkler has had no past criminal history, and as stated, was awarded a shorter sentence as a result of the Battered Women's Syndrome defence.

Paris deserves the 45 days. She has had special treatment her entire life, and she is still continuing to recieve it.

If she truly has a "medical/mental condition", how could she stand to throw a party at her house the day after she is released? If it is serious enough for the sheriff to let her out of jail, in my opinion she should either be in the hospital (which has a special ward for inmates), in rehab, or in a mental institution.

Having lost all perspective and sense of judicial balance, Judge Sauter abused his judicial power to promote his personal opinion and desire for political gain at her expense. Judge Sauer has provided her defense team with legitimate grounds for immediate appeal. The appellate court should throw Judge Sauer's entire verdict in the trash can where it belongs. Reasons why we “haters” dislike Paris:

1) She is a Racist! She was caught on tape saying racist things about Hispanics, Blacks, Chinese, and Jews.

2) She denies responsibility for her own actions. She drove DUI and was given probation, DUI classes, and had her license suspended. She didn't attend the DUI classes and was caught driving on the suspended license 2 times. The first time she was made to sign a paper stating that she KNEW her license was suspended. So her stating that she was innocent because her publicist stated she could drive was a load of crap.

3) SHE IS AN IDIOT. An example of this is back in January she left a warehouse full of personal items like: videos of her using drugs and calling people slurs in parties, herpes medication, photos of her using various drugs, various sexual tapes of explicit nature. She didn’t pay the warehouse the fees for her storage and all her personal items were sent to auction which in turn were sold to someone else who put them online. Not paying $200 for storage is stupid enough when you’re a millionaire like Paris but who in their right mind would keep this stuff anyway. You would think that she would have learned from her porn tape leaking with Rick Solomon but as I stated already she is an IDIOT.

She did not go to jail for DUI or for driving with a suspended license...she went to jail for violating probation. How is jail time for a probation violation unfair?

What's unfair is that the DA's office hasn't announed their investigation into how it was that the sheriff's office let her out!

The part that truly is unfair is the fact that a murderer is ONLY getting 7 months of prison time. Our justice system is completely fucked up. Criminals run loose on the streets and get off on technicalities all the time. Paris completely, 100% deserves to serve the 45 day sentence. She said it best, no one is above the law, not even her. She should have never been let out after 3 days for a complete bullshit reason. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that she went to every length possible to keep herself out of jail. Just goes to show that while money can buy most things, it truly cannot buy everything.

She violated her probation 3 times. First she never enrolled in alcohol education classes, then drove and was given a citation for driving on a suspended license, and then was pulled over again for speeding and driving without headlights on. 4 times she violated laws. She can make a sex tape and have alllll those pictures of her and her prescriptions all over the internet but going to jail bothers her?
If you don't like the laws in the US, well you have enough money to live anywhere you want in the world. Buy an island and make your own laws. If you want to drive drunk, do it on your own island where nobody else resides.

I support both judges, Paris's and Mary Winkler's judge. I think Paris bought herself trouble through sheer disrespect of the law. What X17 is forgetting is Paris broke the law. She is a big girl and she drove while her license was supsended after losing it for driving while under the influence. Who thinks this "medical condition" is withdrawal?

I thought Mary Winkler was sentenced to three years for voluntary manslaughter, but is getting credit for time already served. The crime happened over a year ago. She's already spent several months in jail and has a few more before the possibility of parole.

On Paris and withdrawal, she had almost a month before she reported to jail, did she not have time to detox???

Paris drove drunk. That's irresponsible. Fortunately she didn't hurt anyone. She broke her probation twice. 45 days doesn't seem too harsh under those circumstances. If Paris is this big of a head-case and she has "severe problems" as Sheriff Baca claims then maybe she shouldn't be out partying all the time.

Winkler's been in jail for the past three years and she is getting time served + sentenced, so it's actually quite a bit more time than you have implied.

Not a good comparison, but I don't know what the "typical" DUI/prob. violation sentence is in LA.

Oh pleez tell me Paris wasn't milking this situation for all its worth. When she left the house she was wearing sunglasses then when she got in the police car they mysteriously disappeared so the paps could get a good shot of her crocodile tears! I think the theory that she may be going through drug withdrawals is a good one. It's no secret that, like Lindsay Lotionhand, she's known to use some illegal substances. Still, the jail system there in LA is well equipped to handle this type of thing, as MANY prisoners experience withdrawls after going in.

Another theory is that now that she's stopped taking her herpes medication, she started freaking out from the large sores developing on her mouth. However, she have viewed this as a good deterent to other inmates who may have wanted to sexually abuse her (though, she had her own cell anyway).

I just don't understand what makes these rich girls tick.
