UM-NO she didn't "do a murder" but she drove TWICE on a suspended license that was suspended cause of a DUI. DUI's are serious....and maybe you will figure that out one day when a close friend or family member is killed by a drunk driver.

Hahaha i think it's kind of funny. My friend had a DUI and then drove on her suspended license and was only going to get 12 days in jail, but Paris did it several times. I just want to say that I work at a courthouse in Minnesota, and there is no way ANYONE would do that much time over a Driving after Suspension. Maybe LA is different but I see people come in with a lot worse offenses and get off with no jail time. I do agree that she should be punished, but 45 days?? That's ridiculous. I've seen people come in for their 3rd DUI and only get 30 days. That judge was pretty tough on her because she's famous. I like how Michael Jackson gets to rape little boys but Paris can't drive a car with a suspended license. WAY TO GO LA!!!!

I predict that this DRAMA is not over, merely the end of Act 1 and the beginning of ACT 2. Likely we will see a sucicide attempt, or something similar.

So the followup to act two in the drama will be how, or what angle, her fleet of slobbering attorneys will say or do to get her out, transfered or whatever. Now had the judge said that if there is a sucide attempt or something similiar, that he would commit her to the county mental ward for the next 6 months, suddenly I suspect we would have a different attitude, how Paris is committed to repaying her debt to society, blah blah blah.

the judge wanted paris to do 45 from the start, she ONLY got 23 because california has some bullshit california law that says the sherrif's dept can change rules if the just doesn't use the correct terminology that makes the longer charge stick. too bad the idiots didn't file the house arrest motions (which the judge would have ANYWAY, so no point), the appeal should be denied.

I would have the inclination to feel sorry for her if this had been her first offense for reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, but she repeatedly broke the law willingly without any regards to the law period, so do I feel sorry for her, the answer is NOT ONE BIT! And yes, she may be considered a non-violent offender, but what is letting her get by with an easy sentence by serving her time out in her posh Hollywood home going to teach her? It would seem that justice has been served. I had hoped with these new developments Paris would have behaved with some dignity in court.I was disappointed in my hopes.She had one more chance, presented on a silver platter, to alter people's perception of her. Sadly, her silver spoon got in the way again.I will wait to learn more before I form an opion as to whether or not she deserves the extention of her time in jail. I'm probably a little older than most here so I see the sadness in all of this. This is what happens when you don't raise your kids with a firm foundation. This is what happens when you spoil your kids and don't prepare them for life outside of your home. You may treat them like a princess and that is great but the world will not so you have to prepare them for that.
Paris' parents didn't prepare her. She's just drifting through life. I truly believe that she is not emotionally capable of handling any type of adversity. Everything has always been 'easy' for her. It's really not her fault but now that she is 26 she should start to make changes for herself. Perhaps the stint in jail will be helpful to her. I hope she can eventually learn to see it that way. Perhaps she can REALLY read all of those books she was buying before she went to jail. It's really not funny..it's just sad. For all of you who keep saying she's being punished for the sheriff's decision: it was her lawyer and psychiatrist that bought, er, I mean, brokered the deal with the sheriff. Frankly, I think the whole thing was planned from the beginning. That's why she was able to put on such a "brave face" when she turned herself in and also why her reaction was so extreme when the judge reversed her little side deal with the sheriff. She never dreamed that she may actually have to do what the commoners do. And yes, she is being treated unfairly because she's a media whore. But she can't pimp herself out to the cameras 24/7 and profit off the back of it without it coming back to haunt her at some point. She was the one who kept making all the media announcements about "doing her time" and taking responsibility. She was trying to use her arrest as another PR stunt. And it backfired on her. All I could do was close my eyes and pray he didn't hit us. It was a MIRACLE that he didn't. He swerved REALLY quickly and missed me and kept roaring off at a high speed. For all I know, it could have been a SHE. Tinted windows -- who knows? It could have been PARIS!! They were going WAY TOO FAST for me to see anything, and then the car just disappeared out of sight as quickly as it had appeared. I can't even describe the feeling of thinking at that split second that we were going to possibly be killed. There was no time to even think about it. It was just going to happen, and that would be it. It was very scary and very sudden.

Amazing thing about America, you can be an ILLEGAL immigrant who can receive services from your tax dollars, pay no taxes to your society, get free schooling and housing, etc etc etc but THAT IS OK

You can be a person with NO prior arrest record, with a 1 DUI (please note, from what I read and understand, she just missed the cut off, so she had about 2 - 3 beers, she was not stoned) and drive with a suspended license and with that you go to jail
