Paris is doing good work. She is bringing attention to those, our fellow human beings, who need it the most. If her trip to Guatamala has opened the heart of one gracoius American, that's all that need be said.

Paris usually brings a big $$$$$ check when she visits orphanages or poor areas.
She also helps raise money for other worthwhile causes.
There is no need to disparage Paris for doing good, she is very modest about all the good she does.

"ms"- your comment is one of the most ignorant things i've heard in a long time. maybe if you understood the dynamics of third world countries and why they are in trouble to begin with then you'd realize it is not THAT easy to fix things on their own, or dig themselves out of their own mess- as you said. being someone who has spent time in Guatemala visiting villages and studying and working on Public Health, i can tell you it is not the fault of the people. there are many underlying causes for their problems and it's not as easy as clearing land and planting "veggies". and by the way, they DO NOT "live in the dark ages". what the people in the villages really need are the basics- clean water and good nutrition, hygiene and health education. so before you open your mouth about something you clearly don't know anything about, you should do some research.

To Rin, does it not rain over there? Would it be immpossible to build a catchment area? PVC pipes are as cheap as chips these days. Good nutrition comes from fresh fruit and veg. Health education is all over the internet. All they need is someone SMART running the show. Thats it. Everything needed to create a first class country is obtainable.
