Once again, Paris Hilton made absolutely no acknowledgement of the press' presence yesterday afternoon as she returned home from a low-profile lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, wordlessly slipping into her house with a friend in tow. Could Paris be feeling so remorseful about her looming sentence that she couldn't even seize the opportunity to turn it on for the cameras? Or was she just too embarassed about being caught wearing a jacket pulled from deep within Sgt. Pepper's closet to speak?

I feel compassion for Paris and her family.
What she did was wrong, we all know that, and I suspect that she and her parents know that, too.
Having said that, she deserves her punishment just like anyone else, but she/they succeeded in getting a lighter sentence.
Well, if it were me, or my child, I'd try to get the lightest sentence possible, too, and so would most people, if we'd all be honest. It's human nature.

I hope that she uses this experience as one of life's learning tools and holds her head high. If she does so, she could go on to contribute much to sociey.
